Tall Images Work Best

If you want your Pins to be noticed and jump out – make them tall. Tall Pins get more attention and stand out more than shorter Pins

or square Pins.

Choose the Correct CategoryPin to Appropriate Board

Make sure you Pin to the correct category with keywords in the title and see what is

trending and make Boards with those topics

Incorrect Pinning is also a way to tick off your fellow Pinners

(No one wants to see a Recipe Pin on a Cute Pets Board – and for some reason this make people really mad!)

Be Descriptive

People use Pinterest as a Search Engine. The more descriptive you are about the Pin the more searchable it will be on Pinterest. Use Keywords in the description and think of what Users would search for and what others put in their descriptions.

Use a Great Image

Beautiful pictures go a long way. Use images that will grab attention and catch

people’s eye. Don’t always cover the photo with a caption/text. Sometimes a great

photo is good enough on its own!

Offer Value

Provide your audience with a tutorial, how-to’s, recipes and directions. How can you help someone, how can you solve

someone’s problems or help them with a project?

People are more likely to Re-Pin this type of content.

Get Followers

If you:

• Pin Great & Helpful Information

• Pin Lovely Photos

• Follow Other Pinners

• Join Groups

People will follow you!

Pin It More Than One Time

It’s OK to Pin your Content more than one time. So many Pins happen on Pinterest

that you can Pin it again a few weeks later and hope to have a whole new audience see

your stuff – if it’s good content!
