ABOUT BROOMFIELD

• Born 30th January 1948

• English documentary filmmaker

• Son of Maurice Broomfield ( a photographer)

• Studied law at Cardiff University, political science at University of Essex and film at National film and television school

• Famous for self-reflexive style

• Works with minimal crew, recording himself using one or two camera operators

DOCUMENTARY STYLE

• Broomfield is best known for his reflexive film making style, which is the film being about the making of itself as well as the subject

• Broomfield’s films include a broad range of subject matters from high profile, including Margaret Thatcher to the tabloid incluingTupac. Broomfield has even made two full-length documentaries about the life and death of notorious American serial killer, Aileen Wuornos.

‘BIGGIE AND TUPAC’ FILM

• This is the trailer for the documentary film ‘Biggie & Tupac’ a 2002 feature-length documentary film about Biggie Smalls and Tupac Shakur, made by Nick Broomfield. It is an investigation of the deaths of the two (which occurred within six months of each other), which some people claim were orchestrated by SugeKnight, head of Death Row Records.
