How to create and upload a Youtube video

Step 1: Create a Youtube account

• Begin by going to www.youtube.com

• Sign up for a free account by clicking the link in the top right corner of the website.

• Follow the instructions and create a username and password.

After signing in, click the Upload button at the top of the page. Step 2:

• If you already have a video saved on the computer, select the file to upload by clicking the upload icon.

*Make sure you select one of the following settings: private, public, or unlisted.

• Begin by clicking the Webcam capture icon.

• A black screen should appear.

• To begin recording, click the Start Recording button.

Step 3: To create a video

Before you can begin recording, you must allow Youtube to access your web camera and microphone.

The following image should automatically pop up.

Once you stop recording, a blue upload icon should appear at the bottom right of the screen.

Click the upload icon and the following screen will appear.

Include the following:• A title• A brief description• Privacy setting • Tag words

*The Publish Icon is listed here when you have made final changes.

• Once you click the Publish icon, your video will process and automatically upload to Youtube.

• By clicking the settings/account icon, which is located next to the upload button in the top right of the screen, you have the option to view your dashboard or edit the settings in Video Manager.

• In your dashboard, you will see your uploaded video and will be able to play the final product.
