• In this first shot we see that the title is out there on its own in the great vastness of space. This symbolises how alone we are in the universe and what the characters in the film will be experiencing.

• To the right you can see the bright and colourful earth. This is the safe haven in the darkness as it is familiar and much kinder than space.

• In this shot we see the sun casting an almighty shadow over the earth. It shows the audience the power the sun has over the earth and ultimately the power it will have over the characters in the film. However you can still see how alone we are in the universe from the vastness of space.

• The title in these shots come in very slowly. They do not move, they just fade in and out. This shows the current peacefulness of the shots.

• Suddenly in these final shots we see the pace of the shot change very quickly as the camera starts falling and tumbling. This symbolises the danger of gravity and ultimately what the characters of the film will go through. The screen cracks ups to show the danger.

• The movie titles change pace as the shot changes. The titles and now moving and rushing in and out of shot as the camera falls from the sky.
