Facebook Business Manager
What it is, why its here, and how to use it.
Facebook Business ManagerA solution to the shared login “problem”, where companies created fake personal accounts to host pages
Shared LoginsThese accounts are being removed from Facebook during Summer 2015.
Initial Set-Up
• Select someone from your company to serve as the Business Administrator• They will migrate the Shared Login to Business manager• Use tool available at business.facebook.com
• They will invite you into Business Manager via email• Can be sent to a work email, but must be loosely tied to a personal FB
account
Page Permissions
• Page Admin—Full access to the page and its analytics• Page Editor—Partial access to page functionality, primarily publishing• Page Moderator—Access to comments, likes, etc. with the page• Page Advertiser—Access to an Ad Account associated with the page• Page Analyst—Access to page analytics
Ad Account Permissions
• Ad Account Admin—Full access to ad account, payment methods, etc.• Ad Account Advertiser—Access to create ads• Ad Account Analyst—Access to advertising analytics
How to use Business ManagerAs an analyst, page admin or advertiser.

Use this url to log-in at work. Use the email tied to your personal FB account.
(This is just so FB stores fewer addresses)
Business Manager DashboardThis screen shows any pages and ad accounts you have access to.
It also has basic stats on how your business entities are performing this week.
Choose Your Page/AccountPick the Page or Ad Account you want to manage and click “Use Page/Account”.
Continue as normalFrom here, it’s just like managing a page anywhere else.
Note that “Use Facebook as your Page” has moved to the header bar.
The Pages Mobile AppHow to manage your Pages on-the-go
Search for “Pages for Facebook”This app is available for iOS and Android. It will help you manage Pages from mobile devices, though its not as robust.
Opening the AppSet-up like the regular FB mobile app; you can check messages, comments and other notifications here.
Click the top-left corner to switch to other pages.
Publishing in PagesClick the top-left icon to view a set of publishing options. These open the usual forms to create posts like you would on Facebook.
