Naila/16/1/14/flame fury First issue of Amplified and we promised you mind blowing articles on upcoming bands, well look no

further amigos! 2014 saw the formation of the innovative rock band; Tisiphone. After the release of

their Debut album, “Goddess” featuring their hot new track, “Flame of Fury!” Critics were blown

away. Get ready to get down and personal in the studio, as I reveal the voice and talents behind the

blood pumping Tisiphone.

With their first song “Flame of Fury” hitting the rock charts #1 and interviews from the likes of BBC1

radio and Kerrang! Radio Tisiphone really kick-started their music career. Having overcome the

recognition stage of forming a new band, the members of Tisiphone could not be happier with their

achievement. Having sold out the LG and O2 arena, record label ‘Sony’ feels like they have hit the

jackpot with their new investment! In a tweet made by Ze Hall she expressed her happiness to her

fans: “We did it! We sold out the LG :’) thank you to all of our fans that believe in us”

Members Ze Hall, George Martin, Elliot Moore and Joe Heath formed their band during the early

parts of summer 2013. In the bands own words, their formation came as a “fortunate accident”,

which occurred in the Birmingham Town Centre. Those of you who know the area well will

understand the amount of people busking through the streets of Birmingham, those of you have no

clue what we are talking about, well, let’s just say you’re lucky to find streets with peace and quiet.

So walking through the cold streets of Birmingham city centre, the 4 friends walked past a few

people busking for money. Joe Heath, the drummer realised “Many people don’t realise how good

some of these people can actually be” so giving most of them money for their talent, the group

came across a group of four, one girl and three boys (much like themselves). “They came across as

arrogant and reminded me of the people off Xfactor who are absolutely shit, but are so arrogant

they become almost deaf to the sound of their own voice.” So naturally they thought to show them

what real talent was. The group sang a cover of ‘Bullet for My Valentine’, “Tears don’t fall” and

about half way through the performance, they became quite a hit with the Birmingham shoppers. As

crowds began to form, people started videoing on their mobiles, later uploading the newly found

talent onto YouTube, Facebook and other social networking sites. After that: nothing was the same.

Elliot the lead guitarist, who had been quiet up until this point, mentioned the recognition that they

began to get because of the videos on YouTube. “What people didn’t understand was, we weren’t

an official band” but after the response from the public, how could they ignore their talents?

They have already branded themselves as an alternate rock band. Their aim: to give the genre of

rock a new meaning. Having studied music at college and performed at various gigs, the band

members between them had already had a fair bit of experience before even thinking about writing

their own material. George said “Doing covers really gave us the confidence to persist with the

band” he explained further that the reaction from their audiences during their performances at the

time drove them to start their own material. “We already had a bunch of fans within our friendship

group before we even started out which really helped with our confidence”

Every rock band knows how difficult it is to become recognised for your music and not your image.

Many rock bands get mistaken for “emo” bands and we all know the stereotype for that. The image

of the band is the next most important thing to worry about after the music. Tisiphone tells me that

the image they are looking to go for is a mix of many different stereotypes. They plan to unite

different styles of music together to meet the tastes of all. Who knows how that’s gonna plan out?

4 band members and one dream, what does the future hold for them?
