Should I have a Business Facebook page?
• Who is your target audience? -Depends on target audience, eg Are they using Facebook, and if so how
often are they on Facebook?
• What do you want to achieve from having a Facebook page?-is it for new or existing clients? What are the benefits for liking your page?
• Consistency is essential to keep people engaged!
• Disadvantages:It can be very time consuming and take a long time to convert these leads into customers or clients.

Create a facebook Strategy• Give people a reason to like your page – there are so many pages
out there, why should people like your page?
• Create some measurable goals for your facebook page that include timeframes
• Then put a plan in place for achieving these goals• Use your insights to help track progress

• Only 2% of your posts get seen so ensure you are posting at times when you target audience are on Facebook and consider Facebook advertising

• Depending on ‘type’ of page you have chosen will display different formats on Timeline

Setup – ‘Local Business’ Extras
• If choosing a local business – people can ‘check in’ at each location while there and like your page if haven’t already
• And can offer discounts etc (to do this make sure your account has an address specified)

• Complete the About details to give people more information about your business
• Ensure information is up to date and succinct
• Good to include Page Admins so they know who they are connecting with

Ideas of what to put on my page
Have a Facebook page – Now what?
• What do I post- what problems are your target market facing, what could they learn from you? Post articles, tips, information, photos
How often should I post?Some research says every day, depends on what you posting and if you are providing value!
Think about it from a customer perspective - do you go back and scan old posts or just look at the most recent ones? There is so many new updates your information can get lost
• Find out when people are on Facebook and time your posts for then.

When attaching pictures, these then all show up in your pictures,
and you can then create Albums

• Click on share
• Click and select how to share it, eg on your page (business) or on your own timeline (personal)

Tagging• Tagging is linking people or
pages which creates a link to their Facebook page (appears in Blue)
To tag: type ‘@’ then the first few letters of person’s name or business and select which one to apply it to.

typing person’s name, and list should appear of your Facebook friends and pages you like
