Summary Report #CGBudget2016 Highlights 1. Preparations at planning level started one month prior to the budget. 2. We started creating buzz in social media one week prior to the budget. 3. Cover was changed couple of days before the budget on both Facebook and Twitter. 4. WhatsApp campaign was done giving users information about live feeds of budget on Social Media. 5. Sponsored posts from CMO and HCM were done. 6. WhatsApp viral in media groups. 7. We covered Budget live on 9 th march from Vidhansabha. 8. A 6 member team worked along with DPR Director, Mr. Rajesh Sukumar Toppo and Special Secretary Finance, Dr. Kamal Preet Singh to make sure correct information is posted online. 9. Posts were done from HCM & CMO informing followers that Budget will be done live on Social Media with #CGBudget2016. 10. Speech video was posted live by coordinating with IBC24. 11. Full day budget activity posts from CMO and HCM. 12. More than 45 creatives were created highlighting budget. 13. Slideshare was used to share full speech in text form. It was added in website and shared in other social media platforms. 14. Recordings of HCM’s speech were posted later on YouTube and other social media channels. 15. Tagging of media accounts were done which led to generation of retweets. 16. During the budget, we used dummy IDs and accounts to tweet with #CGBudget2016. 17. Accounts like Patrika, Naidunia, Network 18 used the hashtag #CGBUdget2016. 18. GIF was used for the 1 st time to showcase highlights of the budget in twitter. 19. PMO India, Finance Minister, Narendra Modi were tagged on relevant topics. 20. #CGBudget2016 had 9+ lakh reach in Twitter and 10+ lakh reach in Facebook.
