U grading

• The U grading means that all the family can watch it. This means that there is no mild violence, swearing, mention of drugs or any scary scenes. Some of these U certificate films include Ratatouille, Despicable Me and Shrek.

PG

PG movie is parental guidance this means some scenes the children may find scary. This means that there might be some violence and mild language such as “s**t and son of a b***h” and there might be mention of drugs. Some film examples include Brave, Gremlins and Minions.

• 12a grade movies means that there is strong language, violence, some sex scenes, dangerous violence, suicide and scary scenes. Some film examples include The Dark Knight Series, Inception and The Lord of The Rings Movies.

• 15 graded movies are for 15 or over because it has strong violence, swearing, frequent strong language, sexual activity, discriminative language or behaviour and drug taking. Some films include Mad Max, Ex Machina and Kingsman the Secret Service.

• This movie is only to be viewed by adults because it has every thing you would see in a 15 but a lot stronger. In horror films you will expect a lot of blood. Some film examples include the Saw movies, Fifty Shades Of Grey and The Wolf of Wall Street.
