Tip #2Virtual Meetings

Not just for those intercontinental conferences anymore!

Increasingly, even companies that are in the same city are utilizing applications such as skype or go-to-meeting

It not only keeps cars off of the road it is also more productive and business-minded by saving travel time and expenses such as gas, corporate lunch tabs, and paper – since you can just share files virtually

The possibilities are endless – you just need to find the right one to fit your company and meeting needs. Some are free while others require subscription. Don’t discount the free ones though, in many cases they are more powerful and can offer more options than the membership sites. Try a few different ones out!

Tip #3Consider Your Data Centre

Take the environment into consideration when building your IT department and infrastructure.

Keep in mind that one traditional data centre “can use enough electricity to power 180,000 homes.”

Being mindful of this fact and doing small things within your data centre as well as in the building that it is housed make big strides when it comes to shifting the energy consumption of a data centre.
