SHINING EASTERN SEA (SES) is a full-service, bilingual production company based in Shanghai that specializes in creating all forms of customized and branded digital content that meet or exceed current international standards of production quality, creativity and style. SES also designs and sells large format photo prints, clothing, vintage art and postcards. Most recently the SES team has started up-cycling hand-picked Chinese light box signage, transforming these colorful Asian street icons into one-of-a-kind works of art for the home and office.

SES was founded in Shanghai, China in 2012 as a full-service freelance photography and digital production studio by seasoned production professional Jay Speiden. Moving between the US and China repeatedly throughout his career allowed Mr. Speiden to forge and maintain strategic partnerships from Hollywood to Huangzhouwhile building out a strong multinational client list and a group of highly-skilled, loyal and motivated production professionals both at home in Los Angeles and San Francisco and in Shanghai and Beijing, that make up the core of the talented SES team.

• Critically-acclaimed online viral parody segments and various web series for Revision3.com and Digg.com (TheDiggReel, Unscrewed, iPhone Arm, Encino School for Viral Videos, Sarah Palin Action Doll). Many of these releases regularly received upwards of one million monthly unique views.
• Successful digital campaigns in the Chinese market for brands including Ford Motors (成成假到 Cheng Cheng Jia Dao) , adidas (Women of Tier 2 China), GoDaddy (Go Daddy Girl, Internet Superstar) and Beck’s Beer (Internet Superstar).
• A brand placement viral video release for the Chinese fashion house ASOBIO.
