The feeling of trustworthiness, security

and professionalism that an office building

should provide must be reflected from the

entrance.

To facilitate access, Vertical Design

recommends automatic doors – sliding or revolving. They combine architectural

beauty with functionality such as

improved comfort, reliability, energy

saving by thermal separation between

inside and outside, possibility to use

natural lighting etc.

The entrance door should be necessarily

completed by professional entrance matting systems, especially conceived

for high traffic areas. High quality wipers

correctly dimensioned and placed

can significantly decrease the costs of

maintaining and cleaning the floor. They

are made of very durable material with

high attrition resistance.

In order to protect entrances against the

difference between the inside and the

outside temperature, the wind, sun and

humidity caused by precipitations, the

entrances shall be provided with glass or

aluminum profiles windfangs.

For the access control, doors can be accessorized

with dedicated systems, which, in addition to the role of

protecting the objective, ensure also the rigorous control of

the access in important areas, by highlighting the activity

through detailed reports.

These systems allow access based on a proximity or

magnetic card, code or fingerprint.

Also, in office buildings, pedestrian traffic management

devices can be fitted – medium height or vertical turnstiles,

serving as access and timekeeping points.

covered with decorative panels of materials with

premium look (melamined chipboard, HPL, MDF

with different finishes - painted, veneer, melamine

- safety glass, colored or printed with decorative

designs) or special materials, with soundproofing

and fire resistance properties.

smallest neglected detail can hinder

the success of a transaction.

At the entrance, we recommend

installing wooden interior doors,

very versatile in terms of available

finishes – from the doors finished with

melamine, to doors covered with HPL

or rare wood veneer, all of them have

their own charm.

For outstanding performances,

wooden doors may have special

features depending on distinct

necessities of each project: resistant

to fire or humidity, tightness to

smoke, thermal and sound insulation

properties, antitheft systems etc.

Interior wooden doors can be delivered

with a door frame made of the same

material or metallic that can be

installed on any type of wall (concrete/

masonry, drywall etc.).

Conference rooms and business events

Meeting rooms are the most important

premises in the office.

Depending on your preference, the

entrance in the conference rooms can

be fitted with double doors made of

safety glass with shock absorbers

in the floor, with opening both to the

inside and to the outside.

The spaces where extra privacy is

desired can be provided with elegant

hinged wooden doors, that offers

the possibility to be equipped with

automation and, most importantly,

they are soundproof.

To configure large spaces, we can

provide movable walls. They allow

a large flexibility in the temporary

division of the extended areas in more

rooms and ensure the adaptability

and make more efficient the areas

according to the time requirements of

the beneficiaries.

Multifunctional spaces

Movable walls provide insulation

characteristics (sound or in case of fire)

of a structural wall, under conditions

of removability and even completely

retracted panels (when it is closed).

Movable walls do not require floor

guiding, and the top rail route as

well as the panels “parking” area is

agreed with the beneficiary in the

design stage. The multi-bearing sliding

trolleys ensure an easy operation

of the panel, even if the heights are

greater than 5 - 6 m.

Vertical Design can provide movable

walls with sound insulation of 37dB to

57db, which can be also fire resistant

up to 60 minutes, movable walls with

opening type folding/harmonica/

sliding or glass walls.

Movable walls can be fitted with

pedestrian single or double doors

which facilitate communication

between separate areas.

In rooms with specific needs in terms

of noise control we can integrate

acoustic panels made of MDF. Set

in reflective points, acoustic panels

absorb/refract sounds, echoes and

stop reverberations. The finished

surface of acoustic plating can be

made of painted, melamine, veneer

or HPL covered MDF.

The systems offered by Vertical Design

combine in a particular balance tested

functionality with aesthetics and

design, being suitable for meeting

rooms, lecture rooms, amphitheaters,

high rooms, ceilings etc.

rooms should contribute to a breezy,

Technical areas

Increased accessibility

In any office building, daily

activities require a large volume

of material and documents to be

archived in the best conditions.

For archive rooms we can make

cabinets and modular storage

systems of high quality materials.

We recommend customized

furniture because it can ensure

functionality and quick access

in case of defects that can harm

organizations.

For electrical rooms, premises that

host heating stations, electric panels,

servers etc, where the risk of burst of

fire is higher, we can provide metallic doors which fall within the following

classes of fire resistance: EI30, EI60,

EI90, EI120. Fire-resistant doors

are fire and smoke-retardant, their

installation is therefore necessary

to secure escape routes. Also, fire

resistant doors can be used for the

isolation of certain perimeters in order

to limit the loss of goods. Along with

doors, can be used also fire-resistant curtains that roll automatically when

the fire alarm goes off.

The choice of access systems suitable

for such spaces must be made

taking into account the stringent

hygiene requirements imposed in the

alimentary field and the intense flow of

people.

Depending on the arrangement, we

can successfully integrate wooden doors, plated with HPL, material with

excellent resistance to impact and

scratches, detergents, bacteria or dirt.

These doors can be easily customized

and are available in over 100 finishes.

By combining layers of internal

structure, doors with special features

may result: acoustic performance,

fire resistance, humidity or radiation,

smoke tightness etc.

Our integrated solutions include also

the specific arrangement for the dining

areas.

We can produce furniture for kitchen

- practical kitchenettes for offices

that do not have large areas, tables,

specific furniture to incorporate

professional cooking equipment,

more complex arrangements for

Bathrooms and toilet areas

For the arrangement of public toilets, for

which durability and high degree

of hygiene are essential, Vertical

Design can provide sanitary cubicles/partitions. Sanitary cabins can be

made of chipboard, glass or HPL.

For fancy environments with high

demands, we recommend to use HPL.

Material properties include resistance

to humidity, shock, scratches, abrasion,

dirt and microbiological agents.

For entrances in the common areas are

recommended wooden doors covered with HPL, with wooden or metallic door

frame, provided with special coatings

that improve performance:

› microbiologically treated surface;

› resistance to humidity or water;

› fire resistance etc.

Doors covered with HPL are available

in numerous finishes – both in single

colors and fibers that imitate wood.

Smart parking systems

Traffic management

Automatic parking areas provide

comfort for employees and visitors.

Restricting access, traffic flow and

the effective monitoring of occupancy

are important aims within the parking

areas of office buildings.

In the parking area we recommend

the installation of vehicle barriers

designed for a large number of closed/

open cycles, operated in various

ways: through a button (installed in

the porter’s cabin), remote control,

induction loop installed in the road etc.

In order to protect the area from the

access of unauthorized persons,

it must be enclosed in an appropriate

manner. The solutions we propose are

fences that guarantee a high degree of

protection and safety, hot galvanized

and coated with a polymer coating

ensuring durability and unmatched

resistance against climatic factors.

First-class architectural expressions

Exterior

The architectural value of the building is influenced in mostly by its facade design.

Glass and aluminum facade systems ensure, in addition to modern aesthetics,

also important technical features. Curtain wall facade provides an excellent

resistance to the assembly and large glazed surfaces which facilitates natural

lighting. Excellent phonic and thermic isolation properties, as well as the security

and stability of facades contribute to define a comfortable climate.

For buildings with special security requirements, we can provide fire-resistant

aluminum joinery, corresponding to classes of resistance EI 30-120 minutes.

Through the fire-resistant curtain walls’s applications are listed the staircase,

underground parking and, generally, paths of evacuation in case of emergency

linked to the buildings.
