Digital Level Sensor (DLS)
Pro-Tek’s Digital Level Sensor consistently delivers high accuracy monitoring of tank level and temperature-regardless of the application. The advanced monitoring technology ensures accurate measurements of multiple fluid densities. The sensor’s reliability and robustness contribute to its low life cycle cost.
Digital Level Sensor Measurements
Accurate Measurement
Provides accurate measurement of the total fluid and water-interface levels and the fluid temperature.
Up to 8 sensors can be placed for different temperature zones.
Up to 32 tanks can be monitored with a single control unit.
Versatile Measurement
Effective with: crude oil, diesel, kerosene, condensate, gasoline, water, and many other fluids.
Suitable for production monitoring, inventory control, leak detection and custody transfer measurements.
Appropriate for H2S environments, high/low alarms, and many other applications.
Communications to systems can be digital or analog, with the DLS having wireless capabilities.
16 and 32-bit Modus protocols are supported.
Reliable Measurements
After initial level offset, the DLS does not require additional calibration.
All electronics, minus the fuse board, are sealed inside the sensor tube. The tube is constructed of stainless steel or fiberglass.
Intrinsically safe when connected to the internal barrier board, has low power consumption, and virtually maintenance-free over its life cycle.

SCADA Protection
Electronic Surge ProtectionSurge protection is essential for protecting crucial electronics within the RTU housing. We offer a full line of surge protection devices to fit any application from 4-20ma to 4160 volt.
Streamer Preventing Terminals
Communication devices used to relay information from RTU’s to the master control station are generally placed on towers and other elevated sites. As a result they are prone to lightning damage. Providing streamer preventing terminals (SPTs) on top of the tower reduces the likelihood that a strike will attach.
Grounding & BondingLightning protection always begins with grounding and bonding. Using listed lightning protection conductor and fittings is essential to properly protect a tower during a lightning related event. This system of parts allows for the tremendous amount of energy created by lightning to quickly leave the structure and dissipate into the earth.
Surge Protection Devices
Electrical & electronic equipment in communication, control, instrumentation and automation are highly susceptible to electrical and frequency transients caused by lightning activity.
Transient impulses can be induced due to lightning or switching at utility substations.
Technology:
Comprised of a layer of defense to eliminate the destructive effects of both external and internal transients and ensuring that the system survives.

Lightning and Static Protection
Hydrocarbon storage tanks are susceptible to lightning strikes, especially those made from fiberglass.
Pro-Tek specializes in lightning protection equipment and provides a 3-part installation procedure to help mitigate the effects of static buildup and lightning events.
Lightning and Static Protection StepsProtecting Your Employees, Assets, and Environment
Phase 1: Grounding and Bonding Protection begins with grounding and bonding all non-continuous conductive surfaces to provide equal potential to the grounds across the site being protected.
Phase 2: Lightning ProtectionFor phase 2, we build on the foundation in phase 1 and add streamer preventing terminals (SPTs) to the structure at all vertical stacks, along perimeters and horizontal pipes, and along the catwalk.
Phase 3: Static Lasso Tank ProtectorThis phase provides a greater level of protection against static discharge in fiberglass tanks and fluid-transfer systems. This phase installs a linear static dissipater inside the tank below the fluid level, and bond that static dissipater to the Phase 1 system.
