This merger happened in 2006 and has been going strong ever since. They offer products that help caregivers learn the activity patterns of their patients so they can check in with the technology to see if there are any urgent situations. They also give healthcare providers a remote care management system for places that have chronic conditions. Then of course they also offer individual medical alert options for those who need it. They have a response center located both in the western United States and the eastern United States.

How Does it Work?
This system can be set up in minutes. • Press the help button.
• The base will then dial the Response Center.
• A representative will speak with you through the base unit to find out what help you need. They will contact whomever you designated upon setup.
• The response time is under 1 minute.
Care Innovations Link Device Features
• It is completely waterproof so not only can it be worn in the shower or tub, but also
the swimming pool. However, be advised that it should not be submerged for more than 30 minutes at a time.

Returns and Service Cancellations
You can return the product within 30 days and you will get a full refund. If there are any damages or alterations to the product, you may be charged. An RMA is required but can be easily accessed through customer service. You can try the service out for 30 days and after that time, you will be charged the monthly/annual service fee. When we asked what this fee was, customer service told us that it was just the monthly price that will continue to be charged until they receive your equipment.

Product Guarantee
If you find that the product is malfunctioning, Care Innovations will replace or fix it with no charge to you. However, if the equipment is damaged due to something you did, or if you lost it, the cost to replace it would be anywhere from $40-$80 depending on what needs to be fixed or replaced.

The Good
• We think it quite impressive that there haven’t been any complaints issued with the BBB at all since they have been a member.
• You can wear the device in three different ways.
• You can wear it in the pool.
• The monthly price is one of the lowest we’ve seen in the industry.
• There are no contracts and no installation fees.
The Bad
• For a company created from Intel and GE, one might expect that they would offer more than just one medical alert product.
• The range is quite small compared to others in the industry.
• Customer service seemed a bit lacking in our opinion. The representative we spoke with was unable to answer a few of our questions adequately.
