Need for a robust smartphone solution on high

speed trains.

The company operates high speed trains across the Western

and Central European regions. They wished to equip its train

controllers with mobile devices, which will provide real time

traffic information, various alerts and help with the easy

distribution of internal communications from controllers to the

operation center.

Since the communication between the controllers and the

operation center directly relates to the safety of the trains and

their passengers, the management was very keen on finding a

solution that must not fail at all cost.

applications so that the train controllers can review real-time

information on traffic, accidents, and other related abnormal

enabled the controllers and the operation center to

communicate with each other without any outage on the high-

speed trains.

During the investigation stage, the company has considered various devices that would be able to meet their unique requirements.
