Storing it in a tarnish-preventive bag or keeping
it in a soft cloth will prevent it from scratching.

Pearls
One of the most treasured and delicate gemstones, pearls are
easily susceptible to damage. For this reason one needs to be extra
careful with their elegant pearl jewelry pieces. Wear them after
applying your cosmetics and perfume, before keeping it back in your jewelry organizer gently wipe it with a soft cloth to remove any traces of make-up or perfume. Do
not clean it with chemicals or solvents as it can harm your pearls.
