Let’s make it personal:

Click on “Settings” on

the left menu

Change the “Site Title”

to something more

appropriate.

Change the “Tagline”

Verify the admin email

address

Put a check in

“Membership”

Save Changes

Next click on

“Reading” in the

Settings Section.

This is where you

create a site, a

blog, or a

combination.

By default the

home page is the

blog page.

To change it to a

site just select:

“A static Page”

and pick one from

the list.

Note: If you don’t

have a home page

simply create one

then come back

here.

Save Changes

Click on the

“Permalink”

section in Settings

Change the

default database

URL to a more

friendly one.

Check the

“Custom

Structure” and

type:

%postname%

Don’t forget the %

signs.

Because of setup

for this workshop

the permalinks

will not work

today.

Save Changes

Configure each

plugin as

necessary.

Click on the

“TinyMCE

Advanced” in the

Settings Section.

Pick an item from

the bottom icons

and drop them

into the top empty

line.

Save Changes
