The Quick Guide to Finding your Purpose

Finding our Life’s Purpose….

can be a tricky thing to uncover…

Now where did I put my

purpose? It’s around here

somewhere… wait, where

are my shoes?!

IT’S THE DESIRE TO WANT TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE WITH OUR TIME ON EARTH. TO MAKE THAT TIME COUNT.

But what do you do when you have NO IDEA what your

purpose could be?

You have no freaking clue how you can use your life to contribute and make an impact…

(This pup needs to find his purpose…and fast. )

Well, let’s try this…

We are going to make a list of our gifts…

No…

not a list of the things that you want for your birthday…

THIS IS A LIST OF THE GIFTS, TALENTS AND ABILITIES THAT YOU KNOW YOU HAVE WITHIN

YOU.

Don’t be shy or humble….

This ain’t the place, girlfriend…

BE HONEST.

Everyone is good at something!

We all have abilities that we know we

rock at…

Or skills that others have told us that we

excel in…

Or maybe it’s something that you aren’t all that great at, but it’s

something that you LOVE to do…

Like me with ice skating!

These are the things that make you excited to get up in the

morning.

The time seems to FLY BY when you are engaging in

these activities…

MAYBE THEY ARE HOBBIES (LIKE PHOTOGRAPHY, SKATING, ETC…)

OR MAYBE THEY ARE SKILLS (COMMUNICATION SKILLS, MATH

ABILITIES, CODING & TECHNOLOGY EXPERTISE)

Write them down in a list.

Look at this list.

And imagine how you could offer these gifts to the world to anyone who needs them.

After you’ve finished your talents and

skills list…

Create a second column right next to your gift list…

This column will be for IDEAS of what you could do with your gifts.

Gifts/Skills Ideas & Applications

Your ideas can be as big or as small as you want…

Don’t get caught up on HOW you will make it happen just yet – only brainstorm ideas.

DO THAT FOR EACH ONE OF YOUR GIFTS –

UNTIL YOU HAVE PLENTY OF IDEAS AT YOUR FINGERTIPS…

One of your gifts might be baking…

Could you bake treats for people in nursing homes or volunteer to sponsor a

culinary club at a local high school?

Or maybe you could start your own bakery where you sell

delectable treats!

Plus – you could make a living doing it

too!

NOW LOOK AT YOUR LIST –

YOU NOW HAVE A FULL LIST OF IDEAS THAT COULD LEAD YOU TO

YOUR LIFE’S PURPOSE!

(I’LL DRINK TO THAT!)

That’s more than you had 2 minutes ago, right?!

Congratulations!

Take this list and treat it like gold.

This is the starting point.

Your purpose starts RIGHT

NOW!

Put your list in a place where you can see it, love it, and send it good

thoughts.

(Channel positive energy towards your list every single day!)

Look at your list and ask

yourself this…

WHAT IDEAS ON MY LIST ALLOW ME TO OFFER MY GIFTS TO THE WORLD… TO ANYONE

WHO NEEDS THEM?

You can never think too big…

Now, you don’t have to pick just one!

You could create a career for yourself with one

idea…

(Like I did, when I started Soultiply!)

And then do another idea as a hobby or volunteer effort…

(Such as working with puppies at

a pet shelter!)

Being of service to others is one of the most fulfilling

and rewarding activities you can imagine – and the core,

guiding principle that comes up time and time again when I ask people

how they found their purpose…

YOU CAN COME BACK TO THIS LIST AS OFTEN AS YOU NEED TO

It will be your guiding light.

Sometimes, it takes trial and error…

When I was discovering my purpose, I tried

countless ideas until I found what felt right.

I pursued many paths that I hoped would lead me to my purpose.

Such as…

• Acting • Working at a talent agency • Casting • Becoming a teacher • Working as an event planner • Becoming a matchmaker…

My friends and family kinda thought I was a little nuts.

BUT SOMETIMES YOU NEED TO TAKE YOUR LIFE’S PURPOSE

FOR A TEST DRIVE…

(Test driving your purpose isn’t quite as scary as driving for the first time…but you might

feel just as lost!)

And each time I tried something new, there was

something about the dream that didn’t feel quite right to

me…

So I moved on to my next idea - and I never gave up.

You will know when you found your purpose because it feels

SO DARN GOOD!

I found my purpose with Soultiply…

and I know this now because I took a risk

and tried many things until I found something that made

my heart sing…

SO NEVER SETTLE!

YOU CAN FIND ABSOLUTE HAPPINESS.

IT IS OUT THERE.

THERE IS NO NEED TO SETTLE FOR SOMETHING THAT ONLY MAKES YOU SORT OF HAPPY OR TO WORK A JOB

THAT YOU ONLY KINDA LIKE.

You don’t have any room for anything

“meh” in your life!

Also, try thinking of it this way…

Your purpose might not be a “title” (you might not be meant to be a

“doctor” or an “actress” or a “pilot”)

(To find out more about the danger of “titles”, visit http://www.soultiply.com/dreams-change/)

Your purpose might be a quality instead.

It might be to “give to those in

need” and you might spend your whole life discovering

new and different ways to help others.

OR YOUR PURPOSE MIGHT BE “TO ENTERTAIN”…

AND YOU CAN DO THIS BY WRITING, PERFORMING, TELLING FUNNY STORIES TO YOUR FAMILY AND

FRIENDS OR BRINGING LAUGHTER WHEREVER YOU GO!

And…get this…

Your life’s purpose might not even be job

related!

Because the majority of us spend most of our adult waking hours at

work, we often assume that our life’s purpose must be something career

related… or at least an activity that we can turn into a career.

Although it is true that your purpose CAN be disguised as a

particular career, or that you COULD create a

career for yourself based upon your purpose,

it’s not the only option.

FOR EXAMPLE, YOUR PURPOSE COULD BE: “TO TRY TO BE THE BEST MOTHER POSSIBLE.”

AND YOUR DAY JOB MIGHT ONLY BE SOMETHING THAT

ALLOWS YOU TO SUPPORT YOUR FAMILY AND GIVES YOU THE RESOURCES TO FULFILL YOUR PURPOSE.

Your purpose doesn’t always have to make you money.

But it DOES have to bring you supreme

happiness!

SO…

THINK OUTSIDE THE BOX!

You were given this life to make it count.

You were given unique skills and talents to share with the world.

And when you do, you will KNOW that you have found

your life’s purpose.

SO, WHAT’S YOUR PURPOSE?

HOW DID YOU FIND IT?
