BEFORE YOUR FIRST CALL
How to craft a great experience
On Wisewords, seekers (the customer) browse Advisors by their experiences. Therefore, they are a critical part of your
profile. They are the window to your expertise. Each experience you post should be unique and remarkable. Most
Advisors post one or two experiences to begin, but it's common for very experienced Advisors post up to 10 experiences.
Here are some things to think about when writing your experiences:
All experiences need to be prefixed with 'I have' - we automatically include this
Experiences need to be written in past tense - 'I have been hired to do this' vs. 'I have doing this'
Experiences titles should be one or two sentences max
Experience descriptions should be between one to ten sentences.
This is your big conversation starter
Keep it relevant. The description should be an explanation of the title.
What did you learn?
What do you wish you asked before doing this?
What makes my experiences unique?
What about my experience would make someone want to reach out?
What are the key points that's learned? This should act as teasers let seekers know some of the things you'll tell them about.

Setting your rate
We suggest setting your rate low at first, and then increasing it as you get more and more stellar reviews. A
starting call fee of $5 - $20 will make it easier for potential seekers to schedule a call with you when you don’t
have reviews on the site, and will help bolster your profile with reviews.
As you slowly increase your rate over time, you'll find that 'sweet spot' that results in your ideal number of calls.
We use real-life metaphors to give your rate some perspective. These are only for display.

CHAPTER 3
Calls
CALLS
Getting requests
Working with your schedule
As a Wisewords advisor, you have great flexibility when it comes to scheduling calls. However, it's also your
responsibility to be responsive when a seeker requests a call. We ask that advisors respond to requests within a few
hours.
Getting requests
YYou'll first get an email from Wisewords when someone schedules a call with you. The email will include three times
the seeker has suggested for the call. If you can do one of those times, just choose it and the call is scheduled.
If you can only do another time, click reschedule and suggest 3 other times that work for you. The seeker will get an
email and they will have the same options as you (to accept one time or suggest 3 others).
If you can't take the call at all, you can decline the request and send a message explaining why if you like.
CALLS
What to say
Wisewords calls are a mix between the seeker asking
questions, and you sharing knowledge that they wouldn't even
know to ask about.
Generally, most of the conversation is sparked by seekers
asking questions, but you should also come prepared with the
things you wish you knew about your experience.
Answer career or industry based questions
Share lessons learned and mistakes made
Bounce ideas off of one another
Exchange views with seekers
Provide career-based insights and suggestions
CHAPTER 4
After the call
CALLS
Getting paid
One you have your first call, we'll immediately contact you to set up your payment. We support multiple payout
methods:
You set your own call fee between $5 - $100 for a 30 minute call. Calls can go over the 30 minute mark (up to an
hour) but the call fee remains the same. Should the call end early, the call fee also remains the same, unless the
call duration is under 3 minutes. If the call is under 3 minutes, we assume it was unsuccessful and no one is
charged or paid, unless both parties agree otherwise.
Disputes
Once the call is donOnce the call is done, the seeker has a 24 hour period to dispute the call. After 24 hours, assuming the seekers
payment went through and they didn't dispute, we'll send you your payment by the method you set up.
We're proud to say that 100% of the calls on Wisewords have been successful and undisputed.
