INTRODUCTION

Hi!

I’m going to show you how I set up a SUPER SIMPLE SALES FUNNEL and started

driving traffic to my landing page and building my list. This guide is designed

for a beginner to be able to set up a funnel and start building his/her TODAY

without any knowledge of internet marketing, web design, or best of all –

without any budget! ---- Well I would recommend spending $1 on the month

trial of Aweber, but you can also get a trial of GetResponse for free!

So I am just going to hop right into the details here and this guide will be very

short so you can get going on your funnel and start building your list today!

First I want to give a brief explanation of what we are going to do and our goal.

Obviously, you are going to build a sales funnel, but why? You are going to

promote your sales funnel for the sole purpose of building an email list of

contacts that have agreed to subscribe to regular mailings from you, usually in

exchange for something like useful information.

You are going to build a landing page and a thank you/download page, embed

an opt in form into the landing page, and connect that opt in form with an auto

responder. You will also configure your auto responder and create and schedule

email follow ups to your subscribers. Then you will promote your website, get

traffic, and get subscribers.

LANDING PAGE

First let’s focus on our landing page. I like to use a hosting service called

Weebly. Weebly is a free service that allows anyone to create a website using

“drag and drop” style editing. Go to weebly.com and make an account.

So you can see above and to the left the drag and drop features and to the right

is a basic website that I made in about 10 minutes. On the bottom right corner

you can see the tag line for Weebly. If you upgrade your subscription, this can

be removed, but that’s not really necessary for our purposes. I will include with

this PDF a link to download a readymade landing page to make things

extremely easy for you. You can import this directly into Weebly and then edit

your page as you see fit for your product and with your auto responder code.

Basic landing pages work like this:

1. Catchy headline

2. Catchy sub headline

3. Enter email, button

I like to put a picture of a book with a cover, but that is not necessary. I am sure

you have seen tons of landing pages that consist of only a headline and an

email submit form. Pick whatever you like best and don’t worry too much about

how it looks. Most importantly, have a great header.

Write your header, and sub header if you want one, then leave a space for your

email capture form.

AUTORESPONDER

Now we will hook your landing page up with an auto responder. I like Aweber,

its $1 for the trial. If you don’t want to pay for a trial, use GetResponse free

trial. I will go through the details of setting up Aweber with your landing page.

I’d imagine that GetResponse is basically the same.

Go to aweber.com

and sign up for the

trial. Create a new

list and name it

whatever you think

is appropriate. It

could be anything

that represents

what you are

promoting, so that you know what the list is for. Follow the prompts in Aweber

it’s really basic.

Under the messages tab click on follow up series. Create a follow up campaign

with catchy headers and quality content and put your links to any products or

services that you want to promote. Ideally, promote things that are associated

with the product or service those subscribers were interested in when they

subscribed to your list. Write a follow up series that is as long as you want, and

schedule your follow ups for whenever you want. Feel free to try different

strategies as you grow your list, and take suggestions from other marketers at

the warrior forum.

Now that you

have your list

created and your

follow up series

in place, I would

recommend

following the

prompts Aweber

suggests and

customize your

confirmation email and signature to include any other links, bonuses, social

media sites, etc.

Take a look at other marketers emails as they are filling up your inbox to get a

good idea of some things you can put, and what you like and don’t like. This is

your time to edit the details so that your subscribers get to know you

“personally”, although this will be all automated.

CONNECTING YOUR LP & AR

Next, we need to generate the code to put into your landing page so that

visitors can input their email and be subscribed to your list, and get access to

your offer.

Click the “Sign Up Forms” Tab in Aweber. Click on “Create a Sign up Form”. –

Pretty basic.

You can pick

whichever sign up

form style that you

like. I used the

“basic” form that

has no design so

that I could design

the landing page

anyway that I

wanted to, and then just put the form in. You could also use one of the

templates, design the form in Aweber and then just put the code in your Weebly

site. Either way, it’s up to you. You can use the default submit button or use

your own image for the button. Go to step two, and name your form and use

the basic version of the thank you page for now. We will change this soon.

There are different ways to set up your funnel, but I like to send the download

link to their email (first message in the auto responder sequence) and send

them to a thank you page that has the link to download as well as other links

that you want to promote like social media pages, other products, etc. When

you have created your thank you page in Weebly then you can come back to

Aweber and put the URL of the thank you page you created, so subscribers will

be directed to your custom thank you page.

Save your form and

go to step 3

(publish). Select “I

will install my form”,

copy the JavaScript

snippet, and place it

into your Weebly

editor using the

“embed code”

feature. Drag and drop the embed code and paste the JS snippet into the box.

Now you should have a landing page with an email submit form installed! Now

you want to make another page by going to the “pages” tab and creating a new

page. Name it “download” and be sure to check the box to hide your page in the

navigation menu and you may want to choose a page with no header. Click

“Save & Edit”.

Awesome we are almost done! Next, simply create your thank you page with

whatever elements you like. I recommend a “thank you” and links to other

products they may be interested in. Here is the one I created below.

I used Dropbox to upload my product and grabbed the link from Dropbox and

put it in my Weebly site, but Weebly also gives you the option of placing a file

into your site with a drag and drop feature, or you could send them the

download link to their email and leave it off your thank you page. Any way that

you want to do it is up to you. At the top right corner of the Weebly editor,

PUBLISH your site.

Finally, go back to Aweber and in the settings of your sign up form, choose the

“custom page” option for your thank you page. Insert your URL +

/download.html.

For example:

I called my site “easy20dollarpayments” when I created it so the URL of my

download page would be

http://easy20dollarpayments.weebly.com/download.html.

Okay so now we have our auto responder ready to go with a complete funnel

ready to promote. Test everything with your own email to make sure it all works

like it should, and then you can start promoting and building your list!

TRAFFIC

A good place to start getting traffic is from IBOToolbox.com. Signing up is free

and you can get free advertising credits by simply publishing content in Press

Release form. It doesn’t even have to be original content, but if you do post

original content you get quite a few credits, enough to advertise to plenty of

other IBOToolbox “associates”. You can start to get exposure and test ad copies

here as well as drive clicks to your landing page.

I highly recommend IBOToolbox.com for beginners. You can also begin to build

a list on IBO by befriending other associates. When you publish a press release,

all of you associates will receive your press release right into their inbox.

Another great way to drive traffic, get subscribers and build your list almost

instantly is to use solo ads. There are many places to get solo ads. One great

place is safe-swaps.com. Here you can buy solo ads for a good price and when

you have a few hundred subscribers, you can swap lists with others which is a

great way to build your list. Another place to find great solo ads is the warrior

forum. Be sure to read reviews and ask questions about the type of subscribers

the sellers have on their list. They should be able to tell you which countries

they are from and which kind of offers their subscribers tend to be interested

in. I have also seen some products on fiverr.com and the warrior forum

highlighting solo sellers.

Try all kinds of traffic, both free and paid with different ad copies, swipes, and

headlines and see what works for your product. Keep in mind there are many

aspects to a good sales page, sales copy, images, your product, your swipes

and headlines, how to get traffic and from where and each of those subjects

deserves its own in depth understanding, but the point of this book is to get

you started today building your list and creating a super simple sales funnel.

CONCLUSION

Creating a funnel connected to an Autoresponder, and then driving targeted

traffic to your offer is at the core of internet marketing. This guide showed you

how to build a simple funnel in a short period of time. Now that you have done

it and you already know how and have the accounts set up, creating another

funnel should take you thirty minutes or less. You can be free to promote PLR

products, affiliate products, or even your own products. Learn where to find

targeted traffic, whether it’s through SEO, pay per click, banner ads, solo ads,

etc. and bring as much targeted traffic to your offer as possible.

Be sure you learn how to track the traffic you send to your site so you know

which traffic is doing well and be sure to test your ads. IBOtoolbox is great to

test your ads because you can test for free or very cheap if you don’t feel like

writing press releases. Banner ads tend to get better click through rates but

text ads are way cheaper so I just run a bunch of text ads and see which words

work for that particular traffic to get clicks.

I really hope that you don’t just read this guide but you do what it says. It only

takes a couple hours to get started and once you start driving traffic it’s just a

matter of testing and time. Pay for advertising and you will get your traffic

much faster.

Remember, there are many ways to set up a funnel, this is just one way. This

funnel is also very SIMPLE. Once you get the hang of it you can experiment with

upsells, down sells, free and paid products, affiliate marketing, etc. I hope you
