My family and I moved form New Orlands to San Felipe in the spring of 1822. With a big family we got the right to have 1680 acres of land. 20 acres of the 1680 was cotton, 140 acres was lumber, and 10 acres was set aside for our cattle.

This year we had a hard winter. We lost about 10% of are cattle. We lost some are cotton to the Mexican government.

Since we lost 10% of cattle. My brothers and I have to work double time. To find the dead cattle all over the ranch. We did not have a lot of time so in are free time I thought my brothers how to ride a horse.

This year got the 10% of the cattle we lost we got back because of the reperfusion. We also gained the cotton we lost. My dad is so happy that the lumber I so doing so well.

My dad went in to town one and left me in charge of the cattle. My sister was with my mom and my brothers and I were watching the cattle. When I see some thing moving in the background I was a Schumacher Indian. I did not know what to do. So with little supple we had I puck up a rock and though it at him. It hit him in the leg. I broke his leg.

Today is the day we were going to pay Austin , but we didn’t. My dad was out of town and my did not have much to give. So I went to Mr. Austin and to of are heaths cows. That is how we played are land pay mint

I was riding my horse around. When my sister comes run out of the house searching mama is ill. I went and go the doc , just are luck he was out of town. A few weeks later we lost her. Now I had to help me dad with the family.
