Improving your website URLs

The majority of the time website urls (addresses) are almost the same as a page or post title. i.e.

My Blog Post Title = http://www.domain.com/my-blog-post-title . It isn’t unusual to see titles and thus their website urls, created without any consideration for keyword research.

On the rare occasion you even see little relevancy in a title, as for example the author was aiming for a witty title. It is a shame when website titles and urls are not researched, as they can help improve website SEO.

So now you should be better equipment to create more focused and hopefully relevant website titles and urls. Now you should look at internal page relevancy!

By internally linking to your own website pages / posts using keywords within the anchor text link, you can tell search engines these pages are relevant to those keywords.

Even internally linking can help you with search engine placement – though overdoing it can be a disaster!

Make sure you don’t overdo the number of links per page.
