Sadako was a good runner.Her mother told Sadako that she had been running before she could walk.But one morning Sadako came dashing outside into the street as soon as she got dressed.The beautiful morning sun of  Japan touched her brown highlights in Sadako's dark hair.

 #2 Peace Day-Sadako had been friends with Chizuko since kindergarten -Chizuko and Sadako  didn't want to miss anything at the Peace Day Parade/Carnival-when they arrive at Peace Park there was silence.-the atom-bomb was called the THUNDERBOLT.-Sadako said that the Thunderbolt looked like the flash of  one million suns.

Nadia and Marc3 Sadako's Secret -Sadako came home after school one day and had good news. She was on the relay team.  -Sadako had a secret which she did not share with anyone. -On New Years Eve Sadako wishedher dizziness would go away. -During the race Sadko felt like herlegs would not work at all.

4 A Secret No Longer

The secret turned out to be that Sadako has found out that she has to  go into the hospital because she kept feeling dizzy and fell down when she was racing.   Sadako's family  visited her every afternoon. Pretty soon she found out she has the atom bomb disease.  Mr.Sasaki said that Sadako might stay in the hospital for a few weeks. Sadako was sad and because she would miss graduation and not be in the racing team.

5 The Golden CraneSadako thought she heard her mom making breakfast when acutally it is the different sounds of the hospital. To make matters worse, the nurse came in to give Sadako shots. Later Sadako got a visit from her best friend. She placed a beautiful Golden crane on Sadako`s bed.  "A crane lives a thousand years. if you make a thousand paper cranes, the gods will grant you a special wish."Later Sadako`s family visited. Masahiro promised to hang each of her cranes.

#6 KenjiIn this chapter Sadako makes a friend that's named Kenji.Kenji has leukemia, even though he was not born when the atom bomb happened. His mom gave him the poison (leukemia).  Sadako first met Kenji near a maple tree in the courtyard.  Sadako made Kenji two cranes.  One day Kenji did not show up in the courtyard, Sadako heard rumbling of a bed being pushed down a hallway. The nurse told Sadako that Kenji had died, she turned away and started to cry. The nurse told Sadako that they should talk.  Sadako stopped crying and folded two more cranes.

Angelica and Kasia  June rolls in and rain comes to stay as Sadakos mother comes tip toeing into Sadako's room carrying Sadako's favorite food!!! Such as egg rolls,pickled plums, chicken and rice and for dessert, bean cakes!! No matter how hard Sadako tried to eat, to please her mother, her gums were swollen, and slowed her down from eating the food,  even the chewy, sweet bean cakes!! 'I am such a turtle!' She scolded as she watched her mothers eyes shine, as she might've cried a second ago. Just after, Masahiro paraded into the room talking as if the school gossip was spilling

out of his mouth.

Noel and Jasmine8 Last Days Sadako folded over 500 paper cranes.  Dr. Numata was happy with her process and told Sadako she could go back to her home for a visit. By the end of the week Sadako was sick and pale again and was sent back to the hospital.  Sadako asked her parents "When I die, will you put my favourite bean cakes on the altar for my spirit?" . The Sasaki family came to see Sadako and give her a present.  Inside the box was a silk kimono with cherry blossoms on it. After everyone had left Sadako folded her six hundred and forty-forth crane and it was the last one she ever folded.

-Sadako is thinking about death.  It fears her more than anything.  She tries to take her mind off of it but,she couldn't-Sadako thought about where she will live after she dies  such as the mountain-Sadako gets weaker every hour,because she is about to die -tries to make a crane but can't because she is getting weak, finger keeps slipping-Sadako imagined her  cranes becoming real and flying out the window before she died.-Sadako thought before she died that she will always be apart of a warm, loving circle.

The real Sadako died by the atom bomb disease. Sadako died in the year 1955. When Sadako died she became a heroine to Japanese kids. Her disease was called Leukemia. Cranes were buried with Sadako.

now peace day where a statue of her holding a paper crane.

Peace day is celebrated  every Aug 6. They let paper boats  go. They let doves free. There is cotton candy.On Aug 6 they remember the people who have died in the atom bomb.
