Introduction As per Delhi Police, a woman is raped every 18
hours or molested every 14 hours in the Capital. For every 1 Lakh women and girls, as compared to
seven rape victims in Delhi, there were three in Mumbai and two in Bengaluru and Chennai.
• Delhi constitutes of 2.4 % of total Rape cases held in India in 2016. Women and girls feels harassed and molestated
majorly in the public areas especially in urban cities like Delhi and Mumbai.
It is a alarming issue which needs to be taken into concern immediately.
Problem Statement
To study the perception of women towards their safety in the public areas.
OBJECTIVES• Women safety in public places.• Areas of focus:
Public parks Public markets
• Women safety at different times of the day.• To find out their perspective on this issue.

Conclusion
Critical analysis of women safety in public places and transport. Research done is CONCLUSIVE, DESCRIPTIVE & CROSS – SECTIONAL in nature. Result obtained is analyzed and compared with current situation. Government initiatives are compared. Brain storming on suggestions.

Awareness Programs. Better and strict law enforcement. More CCTV camera installation and frequent
police patrolling There should be initiatives from public
sectors as well. Be alert and keep your eye on surrounding.
