PRODUCT AND WHY?

The distribution company for our film is our own company and its called ‘A! PRODUCTION’. For our film we have decided to be a mainstream production because this means the people who are working on the film already have a reputation and experience in post production. By making are film a mainstream film it would gather a wider audience and make it more highly grossing to the audience. Also the fact it's a mainstream film production means there will be better equipment and overall facilities used. We feel that the distributors for are film should be focus films and revolver entertainments as they have experience in our chosen genre and has distributed films such as Topboy, Tony, Bounded by Blood and Anuvahood. Which are worldwide films with dozens of good reviews and over thousands of pounds/dollars has been made from these films. Our distribution company Is quite similar to Capelight pictures who work in similar genres to are chosen film and have distributed films such as Zorro,BLUB and Infinity.

Our distribution company will be suitable for films that include gangs and criminals. The key factor is it will e most suitable for films based in London. Film that have a narrative that includes a binary opposition. Our company would be for a film based in urban areas that have been known to people in the news for various events. Our company is a small, independent distributor who specialises in distributing independently made films.

Our film will out on DVD release but it will only be out on DVD in London as its a London based film and it is more meaningful for people in London as they will know how London's situations are and they will know the location and what its associated with. Our film will be out in local shops and it will be out on Internet such as YouTube and Vimeo. This is a way will low the audience to see the film as it will be accessible for everyone. The digital distributor will allow our target audience to access the film, this will be advertised through social media accounts such as Twitter, Instagram and Facebook. The film will be Out in cinema but not all cinema, cinemas in London, such as a Art house cinema. As its not a film that will be presented globally is a local production film.

Kidulthood had 3 main production companies in Kidulthood is stealth films  cipher films and TMC films. The distributers revolver entertainment (UK) Capelight pictures (Germany) Focus films (Brazil).

The films Kidulthood was only distributed in these countries because only a certain audience can relate to the film which only shows that it targets a nice audience. This film is exhibited in many ways other than DVD and cinema. This includes Amazon, Sky movies and Love Film.

Top Boy: The production company in Top Boy is Cowboy Films, whereas the distributers are Channel 4 Television Corporation.
