Make a Great Hamburger

I remember the days growing up when Friday or Saturday night meant homemade hamburgers, fresh cut french fried potatoes and real pop corn made on the stove because after dinner was movie night. With fast food being so prevalent today we forget

those delicious homemade hamburgers. This is how I make mine.

To prepare delicious homemade hamburgers start with a large mixing bowl and add one pound of lean ground beef. Add the eggs, oatmeal, one medium onion chopped, one

cup of chopped green, red and yellow peppers.

Add seasonings to taste. I prefer Lowry's Seasoned Salt, Garlic Salt and red pepper. You can

use your favorite seasonings as this will become your

homemade hamburger recipe.

Thoroughly mix the meat, ingredients and seasonings together with your freshly washed

hands. Have fun as you squish the meat, eggs and oatmeal through your fingers. Then make nice

sized patties to fit the appetite of your family as they anticipate this Great American Meal.

Whether you cook them on the stove, in the oven, on the grill or the George Foreman is up to you. The preparation is the key. Cook them slowly until they are as you like them, rare, medium, or well done.

Add lettuce, tomatoes, onions, cheese and the condiments of your choice. Do not

forget the freshly cut homemade french fries with a nice tall glass of lemonade.

You will have a feast loved by your family.
