SUMMARY Gathering Blue, by Lois Lowry, shows that

readers can share their life. In the beginning, Kira is an orphan with a twisted leg. In her house, she felt so lonely because her mom was not there because she died four days ago. In the middle, people came to her house and started talking to her about her mom. Toward the end, she thinks her dad died and now she is saying she is alone. In the end, her dad is not really dead and he comes back.
