• This not only include how we communicate, but also our confidence, our ability to listen and understand, problem solving capacity, decision making and personal stress management.

• Good Inter-personal skills make the difference minimum 8hrs a day, 40hrs a week, 160hrs a month and 2000hrs a year.

• It means communicating with words, written or spoken.
• Verbal communication consists of speaking, listening, writing and reading.

• Status- Formal and Informal status levels affects, effectiveness of face to face communication
• Complexes- Lack of confidence or sense of superiority
• Abstracting- It is partial and selective listening, which leads to loss of information
• Language Barrier- listener should be familiar with the language used by the speaker
NON-VERBAL COMMUNICATION
• Non-verbal communication includes all unwritten and unspoken messages, both intentional and unintentional
• It is a process of communicating through sending and receiving wordless cues between people
• The process of non-verbal communication includes encoding and decoding
• Greeting with Namaste- placing both the hands together with a bow is a very common nonverbal communication in India, which shows respect.
