How to streamline your Facebook news feed for easier reading

Do you have a few hundred (or more) friends on Facebook?



I'm sure you also have many (fan) pages that you've liked



Your news feed can get very busy and most of us don't have time to read everything each day



The other day I was reading through my news feed for almost 2 hours!



I've discovered a way to reduce the clutter by decreasing my (fan) page visibility



Most of us have liked many pages- famous people, restaurants, beverages, shoes, cars, etc



We don't want to delete them, just not see every single post...



Here's the solution...



1st- Create lists for your pages

I keep mine simple, like 3-4 lists



Business, Computers, Just pages, News




Next-

1. Go to the page

2. Hover over the Likedbutton

3. Un-check Show in News Feed



Last-

1. Again, hover over the Liked button

2. Add it to a current list, or select New List and give it a name



These pages will no longer show in yournews feed.But, you can always view them



Go to the left side of the Facebook screen and select the favorite list you want to view



You will see posts only for the pages you have placed in that list



You don't need to place every page in a list, only the (lesser) pages that you don't want to see all the time



I have a number of important pages, that I don't want to miss, so I keep these as Show in New Feed



If you misplace your liked (fan) pages or just want to view them all...



Go to your profile and click on More.Then click on Likes to see your liked pages



You can again click on More, then Other Likes to see all pages



If you have the new Timeline Search, just type in my favorite pages
