How to make lumpia

What is lumpia?

• Appetizer or side dish

• Family tradition

• Family recipe

• Another version of an egg roll

Ingredients

• Ground turkey or beef

• 1 package lumpia or egg roll wrappers

• pepper

• seasoning salt

• Vegetable Oil

• Dipping Sauce (Sweat n Sour, Honey Mustard, BBQ, etc.)

Optional ingredients

• Carrots

• Green beans

• Corn

• Cheese

• Peas

Making the Filling

• Cook ground turkey or beef until done

• Add pepper and seasoning salt (to taste)

• Drain

• Add optional ingredients

• Cook an additional 5 minutes

• Place to the side to cool

Mean while

• Open lumpia or egg roll wrappers

• Peel apart wrappers CAREFULLY

• Get small bowl of cool water

• Bring wrappers, water, and meat filling to flat surface

LETS WRAP

• Place 1 wrapper on flat surface• Place 1 spoon full of meat in center of wrapper• Take flap directly in front of you and fold over

filling• Fold both sides in towards center overlapping

each other• Roll wrapper until you have about an inch of

wrapper remaining• Dap finger in water and tap along remaining flap• Once completely moist roll wrapper until

remaining flap is completely secure

Lets Fry

• Grab frying pan or deep fryer

• Pour in vegetable oil

• Heat oil

• Cook lumpia 5 minutes on each side or until golden brown

• Place cooked lumpia in a dish lined with paper towel

Lets Eat!!!!!

• Dip cooked lumpia in any dipping sauce of your choice
