How to change computer chip inside water bottle return cage

• Unplug the unit to ensure no power is connected.

• No lights on the front of the drawer should be illuminated

• Insert key and rotate clockwise to unlock drawer.

• Pull drawer ¾’s of the way out of the unit.

• Remove the Blue/Black plastic shield that is between the ticket tray and the circuit board. It has a small amount of adhesive to keep it in place. The shield should break free with a small upward tug.

• If the shield will not break free easily, remove tickets from tray; place the enclosed screw driver between the ticket tray and the plastic shield and twist to break the seal.

• To remove chip use the tool included. Metal prongs are what grab the chip.

• Insert metal ends into the slots at the top right and lower left of the chip.

• Squeeze the grips of the tool together until you feel the chip begin to dislodge

• While maintaining pressure on the handles of tool remove the chip completely.

• The tool is not needed to install the new chip

• Insert new chip with the writing facing up into the circuit board in the same location as the old chip was just removed from.

• Apply pressure to the center of chip to ensure that it is seated properly.

• Re-insert plastic shield to its original position

• Close drawer and turn key counterclockwise to lock unit.

• Plug unit in

• Yellow light should be illuminated on the front of the drawer.

• If tickets needed to be removed, unlock and open drawer to re-load tickets. You will first need to press the auto feed button on the back to remove the left over ticket.

• Place the tickets back into the tray and insert ticket into feeder.

• Press the auto feed button to set the ticket.

• Close drawer and remove key.
