Step 1: Open up an internet browser and go to http://www.hotfrog.com. After the page loads click on the “Add your business” link inside of the green box in the center of the screen.

Step 2a: Referencing your NAP document, add your business information into the available fields. In the business description, you can enter up to 1000 characters so use your long description from your NAP document. Keywords - Starting with your top 5, add the keywords that are relevant to your business (up to 50 total). Separate each keyword by a comma, and when finished click on the Add keywords link to add them to the listing. Do not add cities to keywords (widgets Long Beach).

Step 2b: After adding keywords, you will need to create an account with Hotfrog by creating one or using an existing social media or email login. We will be going through the Gmail social login for this how-to. Click on the Google link. A small popup window will prompt you to login to your gmail account. Enter in your gmail credentials and click on the Sign In button. You will then need to grant Hotfrog access your gmail account, click on the Allow access link to continue.

Step 3: The popup will disappear and you will see a confirmation message at the top of your browser after the page has reloaded. Scroll back down to the login area and you will see that your credentials are already set up for you. Before submitting, select your business role (required), and you may uncheck both boxes below if you would like to not be opted into Hotfrog’s emails. Click on Submit to finish.

Step 4: This is your listing dashboard. If you just wanted to have the citation and not enhance your profile with images, then you can log out. If you would like to make your listing look better, then continue on with this how-to. Lets start with adding some images, click on the Add your business images link in the left hand side of the page.

Step 5: Click on the Upload Image button and select your company logo first. You can add multiple images to your listing, just repeat this step until you are satisfied. Add a caption to each image that you plan to upload to Hotfrog. When finished, click on the submit button.

Step 6: From your dashboard, scroll down to the Products and services section and click on Add. Depending on the type of business you have, choose either Product or Service. Enter a name for your product or service, upload a photo (if you have one), and then describe your product or service. Then select the best matching keyword for your product/service. Last but not least add a one line summary about your product/service that may be featured on the Hotfrog homepage. When finished, click on the Submit button. Repeat this for every type of product or service that your company offers.

Step 7: Scrolling back down your dashboard again, you can add a coupon, share news and updates, and even add some of your best work. If you can add anything relevant to these sections then add them. If not, then you are finished with this weeks how-to.
