How Can this be used at school?Students can work in groups across

multiple classes. For example a student in 1A could work on a project with a student in 3B

Students can allow the teacher access to view the document as it is being developed

Students can save their projects online (no lost assignments)

Students do not need to have a specific version of a word processing program.

Create New Document

In the Top Left of your web browser there is a dropdown that will allow you to create a new document.•Document (Word)•Presentation (Powerpoint)•Spreadsheet (Excel)•Form (Survey)•Folder

Save your documentClick on the icon of the disk to

save your document to your folder on the Google website.

You can always download it later if you want to.

Share your documentWhen you are in your document choose the

share button and you can invite others to:

• View via a web browser

• Edit the document

Other uses for staffGoogle Docs (as well as wiki’s)

offer a change for a team of individuals to work together.

Departments can collaborate in a more relaxed schedule to develop lesson plans, procedures, and other documents.

Documents can be developed and shared without e-mail, editing, resending, and re-editing.
