Within my fieldwork 1 and 2 placements I prepared, cooked and ate food with clients. Cooking was a great way to create rapport, watch how they interacted and created friendships amongst one another. My placements were in youth mental health and adult intellectual disability

Cooking is therapeutic in that people become, be, do and belong in many ways. The coming together to cook, the practical sense of cooking, learning and being apart of a cooking group, a family, community.

Belonging.The people in this setting did not origanlly know each other

until they had all made pizza. The common occupation they all particpated in brought them together
