Coaching is a form of development in which a person called a coach supports a learner or client in achieving a specific personal or professional goal.

A coaching session will typically take place as a conversation between the coach and the coachee (person being coached), and it focuses on helping the coachee discover answers for themselves.

Coaching is considered to be a positive and proven approach for helping others explore their goals and ambitions, and then achieve them.

Consulting or coachingThe consultant's task is to identify the problem person or organization and to offer solutions based on the knowledge and experience to solve problems; often they do and implement those decisions. The task of a coach is to use techniques and tools to help the client to generate their own solutions and then support customers in their performance.

Training and coachingTrainers mentor their clients, using technical skills, experience, and a "telling" style of direction. By contrast, questioning and reflection are often more important in workplace coaching.

Emotions are used as markers, deep regressions are supposed to be addressed to appropriate specialists.
