Air Asia is an Airplane company based in KL. When people use the airplane, it flies all over the world. Many people in KL like to use this airplane.

Batik is a fabric, where youcan paint on. But the paintis a special paint. When youmake one tiny dot, it willspread. You could make different types of colors, designs. Some people use itfor a tablecloth or even clothing. It is used for many objects.

The Joget dance is the most popular traditional dance in Malaysia. It is performed in festivals, weddings, and other events.

Chinese New Year is themost important of theChinese holidays. ChineseMalays celebrate thisfestival every year. It is a loud celebration. They alsocelebrate it with firecrackersand fireworks. Chinese and Chinese Malays wear traditional

clothes for the festival.

The environment in KL is now mainly buildings. For example, when there was jungles and trees, people had to cut the trees, because more and more people were coming to KL, so they had to cut lots of trees down to make buildings.

Most of the food in KL are spicy. There are also some desserts. For example one of the desserts in KL is Cendol. Cendol is a dessert that is made with sugar and jelly. There are also other delicious food that come from the different cultures in Malaysia.

Genting Highlands is also known as the “Fun City Above the Cloud”. In Genting Highlands, there are nine hotels, and a fun park where children can ride rollercoasters, and other activities and games to play.

The Hibiscus flower is the national flower of Malaysia. The flowers are large and brightly colored, shaped like a horn or trumpet, and some species will change color as it grows older.

There are Indigenous people in Malaysia. Indigenous people are really important to the Malaysian life. There are over 64 different groups of indigenous People in the country.

There used to be lots of jungles in KL, but now, most of the jungles have been cut down for houses, roads, or even buildings.

KLCC was the tallest tower in the world, but now it is the most tallest twin towers in the world. This tower is here in KL. There are about 6,000 windows on the tower. To build this tower, they needed about 5,000 workers.

Women in KL wear long batik shirts and a long loose skirt. In KL there are different types of people, languages, and even religions.

MKIS is an international school in KL. It is the best international school in KL because being in MKIS is like being a member of a big family!

Nasi Lemak is a traditional meal in KL, you could get it everywhere in KL. It is made with rice, chili, peanuts, and salted fish. Most Malays eat this meal.

In 2010, the Malaysian Government spent RM 38 million for the advertisement of one Malaysia. The government did it to tell Malaysia that there is only one Malaysia and that it doesn’t matter of how we look like, but we are still one big family.

In KL there are different types of people, for example, there are Malays, Chinese, Indians, and lots more.

The quality of life in KL is very good, compared to the quality of life in a kampung, because in KL you could afford a house, car, and lots more.

Ringgit (RM) is the Malaysian money. Each note has its own color. For example, RM1 is blue, RM5 is green, RM10 is red, KL and other cities use Ringgit.

Science Centre is in KL. It was created in November 29, 1996, by the Prime Minister of Malaysia, Dr. Mahathir Mohamad. The centre is located in Bukit Kiara. There is also a educational park for students. Animals such as ostrich, ornamental chickens, Rabbits,, and others can be found in the park.

In KL there are different types of temples. For example, there are Hindu temples, Chinese, and lots more, the people pray in the temple, but for the Malays, they have Mosque. The Malays pray in the Mosque.

People in KL need Utilities such as gas, electricity, and water. People use these to make life easier. TNB (Tenaga Nasional Behad) supplies electricity in KL and all over Malaysia.

Many Visitors come to KL. 2.8 million Malaysians visited KL, and almost 4 million people from other countries visited KL in the year 2000.

The weather in KL, is very bad. Sometimes KL can have huge rain, loud thunder, and very noisy lightning, and sometimes it can be nice and sunny.

Yap Ah Loy was born in March 14, 1837. He was the leader of the Chinese community of Kuala Lumpur and was largely responsible of the development of that city as a commercial and mining centre.

Zoo Negara is the national zoo of Malaysia. It was finally opened in November 14, 1963. The people who was responsible for the park was the zoological society. Zoo Negara is home to 5,137 animals of 459 different species.
