1Today we are going to look at ways we can help our community, environment and earth by being responsible for how we use our resources. There are 3 ways for us to do this: reduce, reuse and recycle.

Lets focus on the reduce, reuse, recycle triangle and how it is critical in helping take care of the earth.

4When we reduce the amount of things we throw away, we are reducing the garbage that spreads out over the land. We need to think of different things we can do to use items that are reusable and can be kept out of our garbage cans. These 3 ideas would be easy to do at your house right now.

6The following items can be recycled. These are broken down and remade into new materials and resources. Recycled paper can be used as paper again. Cans, plastic and glass have been made into new types of materials such as counter tops, benches and toys.
