2. Nature and Origin Of Life The origin of life is a scientific problem which is not yet solved. There are plenty of ideas, but few clear facts. Verse. Do not the Unbelievers see that the heavens and the earth were joined together, then We clove them asunder and We got every living thing out of water. [21:30] 3. introduction It is presumed that the universe came into existance with a single titanic explosion called big bang about 15000 million year ago. The fragments of the fire ball expanded and cooled to give rise to many celestial bodies. This results in the formation of solar system consisting of sun and planets. The Earth originated about 4.6 billion years ago. Earlier life was thought to be created by some super natural power. Origin of life on Earth is also called protobiogenesis. 4. Mechanistics Life arise from inorganic compounds controlled By Some Natural Law Materialistic Life arise from Organic Compounds 5. It is also called as autobiogenesis. 6. Theory of biogenesis : Francisco Redi, Spallanzani and Louis Pasteur. This theory could not explain first life on earth but able to explain continuty of life. Living organisms are always produced from pre-existing living forms by reproduction and not from non-living or lifeless matter. 7. Modern self-assembly theories Modern self assembly theory holds that protobiogenesis occurred due to inherent property of chemical molecules of self organization or self assembly. This theory include conversion of micro molecule into macro molecules to cell like microsystem. First demonstration was provided by Schmitt (1956) who has synthesized collagen from simple micro molucules. 8. Cosmozoic Theory / Panspermia Lifes origins did not originate on Earth, but originated elsewhere in the universe. The cosmozoic theory is that life on earth originated in outer space. It tells that some spores came from the universe to earth containing life. Then the creatures formed. But this theory disputed . 9. Life on earth came from different planet in the form of spores or microorganisms. This is called cosmozoa or panspermia which were preserved inside meteorites. These meteorites struck into barren earth to release cosmozoa and help in development of various creature. 10. Catastrophism (proposed by French zoologist Georges Cuvier) is a geologic theory which states that Earth changed by sudden, violent processes. It states that the appearance of new fossils in each rock layer resulted from other species' moving into the area from elsewhere after each catastrophic event. Its contrasting argument, uniformitarianism (proposed by English geologist Charles Lyell in the 1830s), states that Earth changes slowly over long periods of time by uniform processes such as erosion. Theory of Catastrophism 11. Catastrophism Theory was rejected because according to this theory new spp will produce which is not true. Fossils. 12. Undersea Thermal Vents Life originated deep beneath the surface of the ocean at deep sea hydrothermal vents. These vents release hot gaseous substances from the center of the earth Found ecosystems thriving in the depths of the ocean. Because life had been found to exist where it previously was thought unable to, many scientists began to ask questions as to whether or not this was where life may have originated on the earth. 13. Special Theory of Creation Day1: Media primia Day2: Moulted Shape Day3: Ancestors of plants Day4 & 5: Animals Day6: These animals were specializes and in that specialization first Human (ADAM) was made. According to this theory women was formed from 12th rib of first man (ADAM) . 14. Creationism The word "creationism" is used to describe all groups who believe that a supernatural being created the universe. Scientific Creationism - the belief that the account of creation in the early chapters of Genesis is scientifically as well as religiously valid and that it can be supported by scientific evidence apart from scriptural authority. 15.
