RATIONALE This drama plan was prepared the

reason why space and nebula are

abstract topic for the students. These

topics become more concrete by the

help of this drama and paint activities.

Firstly, it is so important to take

attention of the students.

Therefore, the teacher comes to class with a nebula bottle. They can link between the topic and the bottle when she starts to teach the topic. She prepares colorful PowerPoint and uses some realistic pictures. For example, there is a nebula type which is called Horse head Nebula.

They can’t understand, so she puts a real horse head and they can understand it easily. In practice stage, they become nebula by acting out. In the follow up, they create their own nebulae with their friend next to by using two gouache color and glitter. Finally, they give them a name.

PRESENTATION Nebula is a gas cloud in the galaxy. It becomes smaller (by acting out with my hands) and hotter (by doing my hands like hand fan). As it becomes smaller, it throws a gas. Then, they become cold (acting out) and become a star.

The teacher starts lesson with the

bottle nebula which was prepared at

home because it takes long time in the

class.The teacher explains the kinds of

nebulae by PowerPoint.

The teacher needs 12 students for

activity.

Eight of students become a circle

and four of them stand outside of the

circle. The students become stars. The

teacher gives them stars and they

hang.

are gas clouds (give them cloud

pictures)

The students get hotter and

smaller

circle. They turn to star. The teacher

gives them stars, Then, they act out

the nebula.

The teacher gives them gouache and

sponges. They color their paper with

their friend. Then, the teacher puts

them some glitter on their work..

how to do. She gives them freezer bags

to wear to their hands because they

make their hand dirty without it.

Firstly, The teacher wants to buy

glove but their hands too small to wear

it. Therefore, it is useful to use

freezer bags. Also, she gives them

construction papers with paper behind

them because they can paint their

desk, too.

APPENDIX The Nebula

Bottle Pour the water, add blue color and put some glitters.

Then put cottons till the water

absorbs them.Pour the water again and

add the other pink color and glitters

and cotton until the end of the

jar.
