ISOLATION & IDENTIFICATION OF STAPHYLOCOCCUS AUREUS
AIM: To isolate and identify bacterial pathogen: Staphylococcus aureus
MATERIALS REQUIRED: 1. SAMPLE: UNKNOWN SAMPLE. 2. MEDIA: NUTRIENT AGAR, MANNITOL SALT AGAR, MACCONKEY AGAR. 3. REAGENTS: CRYSTAL VOILET, GRAM’S IODINE, ETHANOL, SAFFARNIN, HYDROGEN PER OXIDE SOLUTION. 4, GLASSWARES & EQUIPMENTS: GLASS SLIDES, TEST TUBES, PETRIDISHES, BUNSEN BURNER, ph METER,FILTER PAPER, PRESSURE COOKER, HOT AIR OVEN, ERLEN MEYER FLASK.
