A4NH Phase II Results Framework
• Management: – 5 CGIAR centers (IFPRI, Bioversity, CIAT,
IITA, ILRI)– 2 non-CG partners (London School of
Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (LSHTM), and Wageningen University and Research Center (WUR))
• Geographical focus: work in 30 countries but focus in 5-- Bangladesh, Ethiopia, India, Nigeria, and Vietnam

• Ways of working across CRPs: – Joint research with other CRPs, particularly in
CGIAR Country Coordination countries– Networking, capacity development and mutual
learning, conducted through FP-led learning platforms or CRP-led communities of practice
– As a bridge to global, regional, and national nutrition and health communities

July 2017 in Kathmandu, Nepal (joint with FtF Innovation Lab for Nutrition Agriculture-Nutrition Scientific Symposium)
– Regional consultation for South Asia July 8 in Nepal and for East Africa in June (with Transform Nutrition).
– Ag-nutrition convening in India at the ICAR campus in New Delhi in early July
• Food Systems for Healthy Diets (FP1) country planning meetings in Nigeria (March) and Bangladesh (June/July)
• Gender-Nutrition workshop in Q4 (topic TBD)

Provides: ex-ante and ex-post impact assessments; bioavailability and nutritional efficacy; networks for nutrition and biofortification delivery; policy and regulatory enabling new nutrient-dense traits; Cooperation on food basket approaches to biofortification in LAC and Africa
Receives maize value chain innovations mainly biocontrol and post-harvest management Provides: food safety expertise (epidemiology, economics, risk assessment) and food safety risk mitigation technologies and approaches
