PROBLEM SOLVING IS IMPORTANTSolving problems and exploiting opportunities are RED’s fundamental driving forces. The RED will often find solutions to problems without the help of others. The solutions are often pragmatic and not theoretical in nature. The RED knows what to do and is always working toward solving a problem or exploiting an opportunity.

A weakness may be that the solutions tend to be unambiguous and their view will be that there is only one solution and that is their own. More cooperation with other people would develop the RED’s problem solving skills by giving the RED a wider perspective and therefore often arriving at a more optimal solution. RED resolve any problems by:

> Working at full pace, with a total determination and persistence to succeed > Having the ultimate goal in sight throughout the process > Pushing the boundaries and using every possible means to solve the problem and exploit the opportunity

The RED individual likes quick decisions, to act, solve problems and take lead.

DOMINATING COLORS ONLY HIGH RED

RED is the factor that accounts for control and determination. When no balanc-ing colors are present, these properties can be even more prominent and create a greater, and sometimes detrimental wish to dominate a situation. People with this behavior style have a strong desire to achieve positive results and active them rapidly. Because they are ambitious and competitive, they can appear overly ag-gressive in their quest to reach their goals. They are dynamic and adaptable and show a determination and ability for strong leadership.

RED HIGHER THAN YELLOW

Where RED is noticeably higher than YELLOW, this is a person who is direct and assertive. They have no little or no interest in personal matters or others feel-ings, preferring to focus on their objectives. They are very determined and have a strong need to see results without distraction. They can compromise on quality or features to achieve their goals. This is often an entrepreneur’s style. A common feature of this style is a short attention span and a tendency to frequently change direction. The higher the YELLOW in the profile, the more socially interactive and persuasive the person will be. When YELLOW is low, they will be more assertive and domineering and less interested in personal persuasion.

RED HIGHER THAN GREEN

Action and activity are the main ingredients in this profile. People with this style experience a constant need to be on the move and become impatient with others who do not want to or cannot keep pace with them. People with this behavior style take personal responsibility for their actions and want immediate results. They are impatient, frequently confrontational and drive others to work as hard as they do. Personal success is important, and people with this combination are highly competitive by nature.

RED HIGHER THAN BLUE

Where RED is noticeably higher than BLUE, this suggests people who are frus-trated by rules and limitations - they prefer to follow their own ideas and often work alone or in positions of power and authority. People with this trait are dy-namic and forthright, competitive and goal-oriented.

Two REDs can work well once they have agreed on who should do what. Sometimes they put their thoughts into action a little too quickly. To be effective, they need to stop and take the time to check with each other before they act

RED and YELLOW understand each other well. Both are outgoing and creative. RED is focused on results, while good relationships is important for YELLOW. To be more efficient in their cooperation RED needs to think more about how best to communicate with a YELLOW and especially note that YELLOW appreciates humor and needs space to express them-selves.

RED is driving, quick witted and result oriented. Listening to others is not one of their strong points. GREEN on the other hand, prefers a secure, stable and less demanding environment, and one where change may take time. A good collaboration requires effort on the part of a RED. RED must listen more and instruct less or risk alienating the GREEN.

RED and BLUE are very much opposites. Achieving a good partnership with BLUE is a real challenge for the RED. The RED needs to slow their pace, provide more information and appreciate the benefits of applying a more methodical and systematic approach to the project.
