2. Who is learning?My intended learners are high school studentslearning the Common Core Curriculum in AlgebraI, Geometry, and Algebra & Trigonometry. 3. Who else is learning? My colleagues. Who arent necessarily excited about CommonCore, and resistant to the use of technology, ingeneral. 4. The current learning environment. 45-minutes allotted to Math every day. Teachers are expected to: Take Attendance Check and go over previous nights homework andclear any misconceptions Go over a Do Now problem Develop the lesson (for conceptual understanding) Model a problem for the students Practice problem sets Summarize the lesson Exit ticket for a quick assessment. 5. Why should we go to Class afterClass? Some of the students: Are still confused and need some clarity Didnt copy down any notes Werent in class Need more time to practiceWhat are some otherbenefits? Student and teachers are not always compatible, and thiswill give students the resources to learn a topic in variousways. Students can communicate with each other even if theydont have each others contact. Students can access assignments and grades even if theywerent in class.
