Who:

Recruiters: Please do NOT contact me. If and when I am ever in the job market again I will be contacting the

companies that interest me directly. I know many/most of you will fail to even read my profile (which is why I get so much recruiter spam in the first place), so I reserve the

right to be less than polite with persistent violators. “ “

my experience. #recruiterfail

…omaiglob, best recruiting email I have gotten in the history of the universe, such that, even tho I usually send these to archive, I must reply to tell you that

you’re nailing it and I will endorse you for it. I have a wide network of reactjs developers, if you need some

help attracting those folks....

…and staffing is not my specialty but this was the best recruiting email I’ve ever received. So turning the tables a bit, if you’re ever in the market for a new job I would

be happy to hook you up.

I don’t usually answer this kind of emails that I am receiving on a weekly basis, but I have decided to do it this time.

Compelling, engaging, personalized, simple, offering the possibility to say << no >> or even << maybe later >> to your eventual proposition,

saying enough but not too much to create the interest..

Your email is really well written, using good sales technique and even efficient. As a customer service specialist, I wanted to congratulate you

about it, because it’s important to recognize value and quality when you see them. Well done Eric! “

Surprise them – Don’t give them what they expect from a recruiter

This is a great email. I am sick of reading emails that just blurt out things that aren’t relevant to me. So for your time and effort I would love to share 15 minutes of my time because it probably took you longer than

15 minutes to research and write this email. “ “

Surprise them—don’t give them what"they expect from a recruiter

Thanks for reaching out. I have to say that I’ve never been contacted by a recruiter in the way you have reached me. I can tell that you actually took the time to look at my profile. I applaud your effort.

I normally respond to recruiters emails with a polite “no thanks”.

I enjoy working at PayPal. But I have to admit that I’m a bit curious to hear what you have to say. So yes, I am open to a conversation. My schedule is pretty flexible, so if you’d like to suggest some times

that work for you, I’m sure we can make it work.

Convey the opportunity, not the job

Convey the opportunity, not the job

I hope this email finds you well. Your open source project seems quite interesting. I wrestled most of my childhood and just bought my only son his first pair of wrestling shoes. Anyways, I know right now you are probably being bombarded with messages from recruiters with all the uncertainty at PayPal in Austin. I don’t want to bore you with the typical recruiting drivel that you receive daily. I do, though, believe you can have a huge impact on our Engineering organization. We are rapidly growing and evolving and need critical contributions from Engineers like yourself. My goal would be to set up time to learn more about your background and what type of projects drive you. Would you be open to a conversation?

Convey the opportunity, not the job

… We’re curious to know what you love about what you do, and if we can make that a bigger part of your reality here at Indeed. We’d like to invite you into something new and exciting! If you’re interested in having an exploratory conversation to discuss life her at Indeed and the technical problems we are solving, then please let me know!
