When I look back at the month of June, I wonder how we managed to pack everything in 30 days!! All in all, it turned out to be a great month. I would like to make a special mention of one of our special Broker Owners’ Anand Choksi whose new office inaugural function took me all the way to Ahmedabad. It was an absolute pleasure to meet over 350 family, friends, associates, developers and guests at the function. With 35+ associates and growing, it is poised to be Ahmedabad's largest Real Estate brokerage firm by the end of the next quarter. The visit to Ahmedabad also gave me an opportunity to spend some quality time with Manan, Aashil, Pranjal, Parag & Sahil, the Management team of RE/MAX MGM; a great team with a great vision of taking their regions ahead. In addition to meeting with the Panschil team during my visit to Pune, I also got to spend some time with the team that leads RE/MAX in Pune; Sahil, Kavita, Sunil, Naren, Raviraj, Bijal, Anil & Abhishek. I see some great potential in the team that I am sure will take the RE/MAX balloon soaring high in the region. It was an absolute delight to organize and attend the 5 th NAR India convention as the Convention Chairman. Attended by 800+ Brokers from the across the country, the convention saw topics like customer centric broking, Real Estate regulation & development bill, Women empowerment in Real Estate Brokerage, strengthening the broker – developer interface etc being discussed by the veterans of the industry. The power packed two days which ended by an even more power packed motivational session by Swami Sukhabodhananda had each of one us walk out of the convention more networked, more knowledgeable, more charged up, and more motivated to take on the second half of 2013. RE/MAX India would like to wish the very best to the new leadership team that has taken over at NAR India under the able leadership of Sachin Shroff and also congratulate the previous team for all their great work!! From the Chairman’s desk A visit to the vibrant region of Gujarat to attend a special office launch, a fleeting visit to Pune, day in and day out working with the NAR India & CIM team in order to prepare for the 5th Annual Convention of NAR India..Phew!!! When I look back at the month of June, I wonder how we managed to pack everything in 30 days!! All in all, it turned out to be a great month. I would like to make a special mention of one of our special Broker Owners’ Anand Choksi whose new office inaugural function took me all the way to Ahmedabad. It was an absolute pleasure to meet over 350 family, friends, associates, developers and guests at the function. From the Vice Chairman’s desk WOMEN EMPOWERMENT in Real Estate was the flavor that was predominant at the 5th Annual Convention of NAR India which was organized on the 6th & 7th of July at Taj Palace in Delhi. Sharing the stage with powerful women as a panelist wherein we all shared our views on the “Role of Women in Real Estate Brokerage” was a liberating experience...it was a treat to see how well the concept of women Brokers was received by the audience, infact the combination of the enthusiasm shown by other panelists as well as the audience had me dive into discussing thread bare the details of how we could make a difference in the Brokerage industry. I would like to use this platform to urge all our Broker Owners to promote and work towards getting more women on board as Realtors, trust me they will become change makers for our business. The convention turned out to be a great educational and networking platform for each one of us in attendance.

With the first quarter of 2013 over, we have for you a list of the front runners in each of the award categories for the “Night of the Stars, 2013-2014” to be held at the next convention. I would like to personally congratulate all the Regional Owners, Broker Owners, Regional Staff, Broker Office Staff & Broker Associates who have made it to the list…THE RACE TO WIN HAS ALREADY BEGUN!!IF YOU HAVE NOT MADE IT TO THE LIST, YOU STILL HAVE ANOTHER 3 QUARTERS TO GO!! News from RE/MAX India Regional Visit of the Chairman to Pune The Chairman of RE/MAX India, Mr. Sam Chopra along with Sahil Kapoor, Regional Head-RE/MAX Delhi NCR visited Pune for a day to meet the management of a well known Pune based Developer called Panchshil Realty. Though it was a short business visit but the Chairman made sure that he took out time to meet with the Broker Owners in RE/MAX Pune and their team.

The time spent with Sahil Shah, Kavita Chauhan, Naren Mansharmani, Raviraj Shetty, Sunil Mehta, Abhishek Khole, Anil Shah & Bijal Machado turned out to be interesting and fruitful for all of them.

In what turned out to be a very thoughtful and touching gesture, RE/MAX Pune also planted 5 trees for the Chairman at the Kanha National Park in Madhya Pradesh. On behalf of the Chairman & Sahil Kapoor, we would like to thank the RE/MAX Pune team!!

National Webinars RE/MAX India Launches a Broker Associate Administrative Guide

In order to make sure that RE/MAX India continues to make training and upskilling opportunities available to all its affiliates across the length and breadth of the country, online training webinars are being conducted on a monthly basis. A glimpse of the training webinars done in the month of June:

RE/MAX India has officially launched an Administrative Guide for its Broker Associates. This guide is a detailed manual which will give an insight into the policies and guidelines that a Broker Associate needs to follow from the time of joining the RE/MAX network. Chairman’s Visit to Ahmedabad for Inaugurating the New Office Of RE/MAX Advantage To fulfill his commitment made during the “Warming Your Hearts” event at the 4th RE/MAX Realty Rendezvous in Goa, the Chairman visited the region of Gujarat to attend the inaugural function of the new office of RE/MAX Advantage. The Chairman spent some quality time with the team of RE/MAX Advantage and had a wonderful experience meeting over 350 people during the function. With the new office boasting of state-of-the-art infrastructure, the large team at RE/MAX Advantage led ably by Anand Choksi is all set to take their office to a whole new level of success in the new premises. RE/MAX India wishes them all the very best!!

The inauguration was followed by the Chairman’s visit to the Ahmadabad Realtors Association (ARA), a local association of realtors of Ahmadabad. The day ended with a special dinner session which was attended by the Chairman, Manan, Aashil, Pranjal, Parag & Sahil.

On behalf of the Chairman, we would like to thank everybody for their warm hospitality!!

NAR India 5th Annual Convention The 5th Annual Convention of National Association of Realtors - India (NAR-India) was conducted at the Hotel Taj Palace, New Delhi on the 6th and 7th of July 2013. The Convention saw a huge gathering of 800+ National Realtors & International delegates. From the RE/MAX India team participating full fledged in the preparations for the convention under the leadership of the Chairman of RE/MAX India who was also the Convention Chairman to attending the convention as one huge group, the RE/MAX India family of Regional Owners, Broker Owners & Broker Associates from various Regions and different chapters went all out to contribute towards making the convention successful. The Convention was a huge success and well appreciated by one and all including media, sponsors and the entire real estate fraternity.

RE/MAX India has started an Online “Live Chat” facility on its regional website www.remax.in. The online chat is basically to give prompt servicing on franchise, property and general enquiries of customers visiting the website. This live chat is to ensure that real time leads get real time

responses.

In our quest to keep up with the technology savvy customers, RE/MAX India now has an optimized version of the website, www.remax.in for mobile viewers making it easier for customers to view listings on their mobiles. This version doesn’t only make life

simpler for the customer but also for our Affiliates as uploading a listing can now be done in real time from anyplace.

GOOGLE ADWORDS NOW WE ARE JUST A CALL AWAY The marketing team at RE/MAX India has been working diligently on the SEO of the remax.in website. Stepping up on it, they have now started campaigns using Google Adwords for RE/MAX Franchise Sales, Agent opportunities and Buy/ Sell property through RE/MAX.

In order to ensure that all Franchise, Agent, Property related enquires get serviced with real time assistance, RE/MAX India has recently started an IVR . Also, taking this initiative one step further the IVR also has options for an existing RE/MAX Affiliate to get In order to get in touch with the RE/MAX India team for any assistance required on technology, finance, sales etc.

The IVR number is 9654965001 is now live on our website and is also being promoted in the newspaper advertisements. Queries pertaining to the Regions will be forwarded to the respective Regional Office by RE/MAX India.

This system will ensure that we are accessible to respond to any kind of business query that a prospect/ Affiliate may have.

News From Our Regions RE/MAX Delhi NCR RE/MAX MGM In order to grow their presence in Delhi NCR Region, the Regional Head, Sahil Kapoor took a new recruitment initiative of placing advertisements in the newspaper. For this the Region has bought a package from Hindustan Times.

RE/MAX Mumbai Gujarat, Maharashtra along with its team, participated in FRO at Ahmedabad on the 15th & 16th of June.

The event saw national &

International entrepreneurs and

investors visiting to learn about the franchise business opportunities.

As a follow-up event to FRO, RE/MAX MGM did another event called Destination RE/MAX on the 17th of June for all those who wanted to seek more information about the RE/MAX business model. As a resultant some of the prospects showed keen interest in joining RE/MAX. The events were a great success. The Region was successful in converting the leads gathered from the events into Broker Associates.

The region has also started a great initiative of conducting regular Broker Owner meets in order to provide all of them a platform to network and learn best practices!! We wish them all the very best in selling Franchises!!

To keep the momentum going, the Region supported RE/MAX Pear Spaces & RE/MAX Opulence Realty in conducting their Discovery day.

The untiring efforts of the Regional team in supporting their Broker Offices in terms of recruitment by conducting Recruiter’s day, discovery days and many more such activities at various offices has started bearing fruits. The Region saw an induction of 12 Broker Associates in different Broker Offices in the month of June. It does not stop here, 2 BA Orientation programs were conducted to lay the foundation of a strong team thus ensuring proper handholding of the newly joined Broker Associates into the system. RE/MAX Hyderabad & ROAP The month of June in RE/MAX Hyderabad & ROAP was action packed. The Regional Owner, Balajee kumar displayed excellent leadership by leading not only the team at the headquarters but also all the Affiliates in the region to put their best foot forward to sell, recruit and network. The Region conducted 60 minutes with RE/MAX on 4th June which was done to pump agent recruitment for its Broker Offices. The event was attended by 76 prospects & resulted in some good Broker Associates conversions. The event was moderated by the Regional Owner himself and it saw Franchisee Owners, Mr.Ravi Bandlamudi, Mr. Jagadeesh Adasada, Mr. T T Reddy & Mr. Srikanth Vemulapalli doing individual speaker sessions. The event also had Broker Associates, Mr. Satish Dayal, Mr. B Ramnath Reddy & Mr. Ramachander Daduwai giving testimonials on their life changing journey with RE/MAX. The event ended with a Thank you note to prospects and a networking tea/coffee session. The region has always been classic examples of keeping the right balance between work and fun. In what turned out to be a super fun event, the Region along with its affiliates participated in outdoor sports along with APRA, the local realtor association in Hyderabad on 15th June.

The region continues to surprise us and makes us all the more proud of having them as a part of our network!!

RE/MAX Chennai

In RE/MAX, our network is one of the biggest reasons why learning through sharing of best practices is the usual route followed by every Affiliate. Following that route, the month of June saw the Regional Owner of RE/MAX Chennai visiting the region of RE/MAX Bengaluru in order to spend some quality time with Siva and his team for cross pollination of ideas.

RE/MAX Chhattisgarh RE/MAX MP1 & Vidarbha Under the benevolent leadership of its Regional Owners, Dilip Tikariha and Manish Tikariha, the Regional team along with Broker Owners and their teams in association with Sewa Welfare Organization distributed 3000 glasses of soft drinks among the common public on a hot summer day. Not only this, the Regional Owners supported women empowerment in full strength and to support the noble cause they gave away certificates to women who completed their silai pariksha. The region surely knows how to bring out the caring side of the Broker Community.

The Region conducted a special knowledge seminar on the “Role of technology in Real Estate” in order to upskill the industry at large in Raipur. The event was well attended and much appreciated as it gave all the attendees a detailed insight on the benefits of using technology in the Real Estate industry.

Taking their internal and external communication one step ahead, the region of RE/MAX MP1 has taken an excellent initiative of taking out a monthly newsletter called “Real Estate with RE/MAX” which is not only available in an online version but is also available in Print format. The regional team has been actively encouraging and supporting their offices in conducting various seminars to educate people and to spread awareness about the RE/MAX business model. In fact, one of the sessions was done by Nipendra Morchale, Broker Owner of RE/MAX Real Estate Gallery wherein the Broker Owner did a training session on “How to become Professional Real Estate Consultant”. The seminar saw a good turnout which had around 25 prospects in attendance.

Married to Hemlatha with a 14 years old daughter, I am basically a native of the Khammam district in Andhra. I have completed my MS in Civil engineering from Utah State University, USA. All throughout my education, I had loved numbers and the subject “MATHS” and have also had the good fortune of winning many state level awards in MATHS OLYMPIAD and many others.

I started my career as an employee in a software company in the United States where I worked for a few years. Since the beginning, I wanted the freedom to do work in my own way and that is what led me to start my own software company. Got a little stagnant in that for a few years and decided to shift into a different work profile, so went into movie production. From there I got bitten by the “wanting to make money” bug which made me venture into the construction field on a proprietary basis. While into this, I was approached for an opportunity as a Broker Associate in a RE/MAX franchise office which I liked, frankly more than anything what I loved was the maximum commission earning potential that the RE/MAX model was based on..of course this was in addition to the other supports received. With a hunger to earn even more, I decided to from an agent to an owner profile and took up a RE/MAX Franchise called REMAX PROPERTIES in August, 2012. I definitely work with goals and want to grow my office to a 50 Agent office in the coming 2 years and I am sure to end 2013-14 with 10 million rupee gross along with my team members so that they earn 6-digit figure soon as well. My Philosophy has always been to Live and Let Live and create your individuality and that is what I am inculcating into all my Broker Associates. I am proud to be associated with the region of RE/MAX Hyderabad as I am sure that under the great leadership, the region will see great heights in success.

RE/MAX Hyderabad Affiliates Referral Exchange Meet:

The Affiliates of the region of RE/MAX Hyderabad got together on the 4th of June for a networking meet called the “RE/MAX Hyderabad Affiliates Referral Exchange Meet”. This meet organized by the regional team under the leadership of Balajee Kumar was aimed at providing its Affiliates with an opportunity to use the strength of the network to share listings and close transactions within the network. The event began with a welcome speech by Ms. Pallavi, regional office staff followed by an opening address by Balajee Kumar, the Regional Owner. The meeting thereafter saw the Broker Associates sharing their hot residential & commercial listings and buyer requirements which mostly were exclusive. Most of the Affiliates also carried their hot listings in a property referral form which would ensure that all the listings discussed would be handy with the Affiliates. The meet had some special guests in attendance from the Lodha Group who took a special session with the Affiliates wherein they spoke about to the Affiliates about tips on how to cater to HNI clients in terms of having a long term relationship, maintaining a good system for regular follow-up and maintenance of a database system. From motivation, networking, learning to business creation opportunities…the event catered to almost everything that an Affiliate would look forward to in an event of this kind. RE/MAX Hyderabad has really taken collaboration to a whole new level with initiatives such as these. We wish the region all the very best and we hope to see some great stuff in the second quarter as well!!
