Our Neighborhoods: Social Media Leverage

Facebook has grown to be one of the biggest sources of traffic online, with over 500,000,000 active Facebook users and 71.2% of the U.S. web audience in on Facebook. (more stats set to good music). Unlike traffic to your website, when a Facebook user likes your page, they are giving you a solid set of contact information, and becomes a potential client or referral source. This means that every “like” your page gains, increases your Social Sphere of Influence.

How do we leverage social interactions on Facebook for our clients?

By creating a geographically centered Facebook page, we can position ourselves to cross promote our clients in a general area. We do this by creating an “Our Neighborhoods” page, like we’ve done for Wenatchee, Naples, Anaheim, and more.

Facebook is about engagement, and through these pages, we “like” local businesses, resources and websites and gain a following. Through this process, we cross promote our

client’s pages, resources and listings, giving them additional regionally specific visibility, as well as inbound links and shares that improve their online position.

Facebook pages are indexed in Google, Yahoo and Bing, and it’s been confirmed that social media shares of pages do impact it’s rankings!
