Driving directions from Morelia  

  

Coming from Morelia (road Morelia - Patzcuaro), passing Cuanajo & Tupataro signs, there will be a sign to go to Uruapan, go to left line and take left road at the intersection. Go straight until you arrive to a pay booth (it is $20.00 pesos). Keep going for about 1 Km (.62 mile) and you will see a sign to "Lago Zirahuen" exit at right, follow signs (be very careful on those curves, go slow). It will be about 5 km (3.10 miles) more descending in the road to the village, you will see the breathtaking Lake at right. Entering town, you will pass a big unfinished ball metal structure at left, there is a Hotel.
