Not enough crossing borders.
Density of human dwellings started appearing in 90.000 years ago. Before that borders were not crossed.

Most Green Building Innovations are out there, but no-one is scaling them up.
Let me illustrate this with three stories.

So ... if you view innovation as crossing borders it becomes very easy.
You have to do three things:
1. Work with someone you haven't worked with.
2. Aim at changing someones behavior without ”green” or ”saving”.
3. Use technology to scale up what you have managed to change. Technology is not innovation.
