• ListingDomains.com– Nationally sells single property websites geared towards agents– Agents get the domain name for 12 months– Facebook Integration

• GoDaddy.com / Broker-Built Solution– GoDaddy.com is a domain name registrar– The domain name will point back to a property details page on the broker’s website.

• Other competitors– There are a wide variety of single property website providers– While there may be some in your local market not included here, we are focusing on the three

main competitors we will face nationally.– Many brokers will tell you they purchase domain names from GoDaddy.com

Competitive Pricing (SPW)Competitive Pricing (SPW)

• Different pricing models exist in the market however most end up working out to between $30-50 per site

• Keep in mind that for solutions such as GoDaddy.com the customer needs input all of their data manually and/or just point the site back to their Broker’s web page which isn’t a great experience or unique enough to help their SEO

• Contact your Manager to determine your local pricing which likely will vary from market to market

How HomeFinder.com Competes (SPW)How HomeFinder.com Competes (SPW)

• Hassle-Free– Advertisers don’t need to manually build their listings– Changes made to the listing automatically appear on the Single Property Website

• Optimized for SEO– Many single property website providers do not provide a unique domain name– Our domain AND entire site is OPTIMIZED for SEO to ensure maximum efficiency

for our advertisers– Those who purchase domains from GoDaddy.com or other providers generally

point the domain back to their own website. Google and other search engines don’t rank this as highly as it would a Single Property Website from HomeFinder.com

• Integrated into HomeFinder.com – We are the only provider to also have one of the top ten real estate search sites in

the country– Lead and traffic reporting is automatically integrated into our customer’s

Overcoming Objections (SPW)Overcoming Objections (SPW)

Having sold this for over 10 months now we have heard and handled most of the objections around this product. As with any sales process there will be objections, however in this case we feel that we can handle these and move on to the close:

O: Why does it matter that I rank well for an address search, who actually searches by address? A: Actually, its surprising but 50% of the visitors on HF find us from the address level (do a search and show them how many companies are competing for these terms). People google addresses all the time to see what kind of information they can find out on a property. These address searchers are serious buyers digging in to find more information. SPWs help you to capture those visits.

O: I’m already using a similar product with another competitor.A: Do you have to do any data entry for them? Are they search engine optimized? Give me a listing example and lets see how it ranks on Google (chances are it won’t). Dig into the data entry and then demo one of their listings using our service, the speed will wow them.

O: My Lender or Title Company or Broker already provides these for me? A: What are they doing for you? Are they search engine optimized? Do you have to do any data entry? Again, do a search for the address on Google, then get into a demo – you can convert this objection.

Best Practices

HomeFinder.com 60

Page 61: Home finder sales training jen 2011

Before the client meeting

Always visit the client’s web site before visiting them. Pay particular attention to the sweet spot (above the scroll). This will give you clues on what is important to advertisers. You can use this to discuss Display advertising

Do a google search for [insert town name, state, and homes/properties /real estate etc] . Where does the client , Homefinder, and our competitors rank? Be prepared to discuss

The CTR for listings on Homefinder is about 3%. The CTR on display ads are typically ¼ of 1%. Keep these metrics in perspective when discussing the value of Homefinder

HomeFinder.com 61

Page 62: Home finder sales training jen 2011

Before the client meeting

If you’re calling on a franchise broker (i.e. Coldwell banker, C-21, RE/MAX etc) be prepared to conduct a search in another area so you can demonstrate what an enhanced listing package looks like

Conduct local real estate/property searches on Realtor.com, YouTube, Trulia, Homes.com and Google. See who is buying any type of enhanced listing in your market

Does the client you are seeing already utilize SPW’s through a different vendor? If so, get an address and google it. See where it ranks.
