DESCRIPTION
The plethora of golf course communities in Wilmington NC real estate is one of the reasons so many retirees from the Northeast are headed here. There are at least 8 community golf courses in the relatively small city of Wilmington, North Carolina. Most are semi-private and guests pay fees. The membership range from $100s/ year up to $50,000 to join. You can find a ton of golf course homes for sale in Wilmington NC at the local real estate websites. After years of decline the local market is solid again and dramatic decreases in inventory have been observed combined with big increase in the number of transactions. Some home prices are going up again and those waiting till next year to buy are losing money. It's been a long time since one could say that about real estate in Wilmington, NC including Carolina Beach, Wrightsville Beach and Leland in Brunswick County. The most well known golf course communities are Landfall, Porters Neck Plantation and Echo Farms. But there many others some are quite humble 9 hold courses.

Landfall Country Club
The Equity Membership is $55,000, but recently a "junior membership" for those 20-39 years old was implemented that cost $30,000 paid over 10 years once the junior member is 30 years old. The goal was to increase membership as the economy was failing....
